Opinions on the the Holiday Inn Express And Suites Anaheim Resort Area at 1411 South Manchester Avenue for an all adult group, including seniors?

Super nice. it is a brand new property and the HIE is a good line as far as their brand standards. They have a free breakfast which is processed food "meh"...but it is at least something and the walk is not at all bad.

Thanks! How far is it from park entrance or how long does it actually take to walk there (and back)?

I haven't stayed there, but I did notice something about their rates that bugged me. When you put in your dates and see the nightly rate, it tells you that they will add $10 per person, per night, starting with the third person. So if it shows a rate of $220, it becomes $240 if you have four people. It seemed to me that their rates were already high enough without the charging for extra people.

I thought it was pretty common for hotels to charge extra for each adult after the second one.

We stayed there about a year ago and it felt kind of remote. Also at night it seemed kind of dark to walk back. Maybe the street lights were not working then but it felt kind of isolated.

The Holiday Inn Express is in behind the new Courtyard - I find now that Manchester is a bit better lit than when this was a parking lot, course that was more than a year ago. I'd say the walk is comparable to the HOJO, so I'd say it's a good 8 solid minutes to the security gates - and it may be a bit longer of a walk with Seniors although we had my Mother in Law with us when she was 68 and she didn't mind the walk from the HOJO. I would think really the only walking route is Manchester then cut through the Courtyard/Mimi's parking lots to S. Harbor up to the crosswalk. Or you can cross at Manchester and walk along the other side of Harbor as it tends to be less busy and sometimes a bit shady if you are walking back in the mid day Sun.

My wife and I stayed there December 2016. It was great. Our morning walk (on fresh legs) was about 7 minutes. Our evening walk back to the hotel was about 10 minutes.

We loved the fact that it was somewhat isolated, unlike the hotels directly across the street from Disney. There is no foot traffic near the hotel, other than Holiday Inn guests. We had a car, and it was so much easier to pull our car out than it would have been with tons of pedestrians blocking the driveways at the slightly closer hotels.

We felt the extra 3-5 minutes of walking was a worthy trade off for a quieter, new-ish hotel away from the hustle and bustle.

It’s our favorite off property hotel in the area.

I have never thought about it but staying at the Hojo is never any issue for getting into or out of the parking lot and being able to drive up Manchester taking the back route to a lot of things and avoiding S Harbor is actually quite convenient - good point!!
