Just got an email and now the grand opening is being pushed to Oct 1. Waiting to see where they plan on putting the people who have reservations. I would assume it would need to be a DTD hotel, going to be interesting. My daughter goes down in September and we go in November.

Based on what people have been saying about there not even being a roof on the building, I'm not surprised. They didn't give you any idea where they would move you?

No rooms available before 10/1 when trying to book online.
Should be interesting to see how they handle reservations before
10/1. Wonder if they will open for 10/1 or push it out again?
I haven't received a email for our 9/24 resv.

I was told that they are mailing out letters at the end of this week. My daughter is worried because they are 24 and don't plan on renting a car since there was a shuttle provided :confused3 . They also have to notify the limo company of the change. I just hope it will be as nice as what they would have gotten at a new holiday inn

Just called the Hotel and spoke with a woman who is under the impression that the hotel is opening August 15. Perhaps the "Grand" opening is different than the first date of occupancy. Otherwise the information about the delayed opening hasn't been relayed to all employees yet.

I have a ressie for 2-night at the end of September and haven't received any word yet. Hopefully I'll receive a letter explaining in detail if I have to move or not.

I guess I'll have to wait and see.

I was afraid of something like this happening.

I have ressies for Sept. 24 - Oct. 1 - no word that they will NOT be open during this time.

Please keep us posted on this hol . We have stayed there several times and have found them to have great staff.

I saw on the Budget Board where they are offering people the chance to move to Sheraton Safari or rebook next year between May and December at the current rate. I believe it's on the thread called $.93 a typo? or something close to that.

EDIT: oops, it's not on the budget board, it's on this one!
