Holiday Inn DTD

Does anyone have an update on the Holiday Inn Downtown Disney location? I know it's under construction, but wondered if they have made progress. Thanks!

It's still listed on Intercontinental Hotels website. They have a local number on the site to call the hotel directly, but I haven't tried it. Maybe you could try entering some dates and see if they are available to book. I tried August 2007, and they were quoting $128/NT (8/4 - 8/11).

while we were there in Sept. we drove by everyday and there was no work going on here just the police sitting in the parking lot. sad because we stayed there a couple years ago and had a nice time. we got the 20.03 a night deal......hope this info. helps.

Although there appears to be some minor (re-)construction work going on, nothing major has been accomplished in recent months (year?). Holiday Inn's website keeps pushing back the days in which it's taking reservations (and people who've made a reservation have been offered a refund or alternate accomdations, usually at the Sheraton Safari).

It's continually rumored that once this hotel re-opens, it will be reflagged - perhaps into a more premium brand.

I was just at WDW in October and again at Thanksgiving and it looked exactly the same, not much progress at all... bummer!

DH and I stayed there twice under the Marriott flag for the $20.0x price. That made for great anniversary trips for us. I keep hoping they'll be able to complete the construction and get the hotel back on line.

We just got back from WDW and stayed at Royal Plaza and drove by the holiday inn. There is no work going on there at all. Looks like its just sitting there going to waste. Our trip was 11/25-12/5.
