We will most likely be staying there 2 nights before our land/sea in April 05.

Right now the room rate is 110/night. Is that the best rate I'll see or should I wait? If I book at 110/night and a room discount comes out would I be able to apply it?

Anyone know?

Last fall when this property was still the Courtyard, I stayed there for one night for $39 on Hotwire.com. For that price, the place was a steal, but $110 sounds much too high, especially as the cheapest rooms at Disney's own resorts go for less.

Any reason why you selected this specific hotel? Personally, I'd wait for a possible Disney discount (code) promotion, and go for a moderate (Port Orleans, etc) for about the same price. You've got plenty of time.

If you might want to try to identify this hotel for Hotwire, take a look at http://www.betterbidding.com

Well, I am not exactly sure what to do about our 2 extra nights in Orlando . . .I picked the Holiday Inn because it seemed nice from what I read and the pictures looked nice and we figured instead of staying at a Moderate for 2 nights we'd just be centrally located right in downtown disney that way it'll be a seperate little vacation before we head off to the Poly and then the Wonder. I think I'd be tempted to go to WDW if I stayed at one of the moderates. We wanted to head to Sea World on Friday and then hang out at downtown disney.

But maybe with the Port Orleans or French Quarter we'll be able to ride their boat over to downtown disney.

If you have AAA it was about $69.00 a night. We stayed there last year (formerly Courtyard by Marriott) for $20.03 promotion they had last year for one night. I too, think $110.00 is a bit high . Why don't you wait it out a little and see if any more promotion will be out before your trip.

Right now the HI website is showing $79/night for that hotel next April wit hthe entertainment card rate.

herc.

I have stayed at that hotel with a rate of $29 thru priceline. I have also gotten the Best Western across the street for $35 on priceline. I rate them both about the same. So I think you can do much better. also try Hotel Royal Plaza they might have better rates. But if it is spring break time that might be the best you can do. Find out the cancel policy & book it until you can do better. Also try www.biddingfortravel.com. They are nicer on betterbidding.com but I find more info on biddingfortravel.com. Also sign up for the newletter at www.mousesavers.com.

We've stayed there twice when it was a Marriott for 20.02/20.03 night. I enjoyed it for that price but do not feel the location or the hotel is worth 110.00 per night.

I would try one of the Moderate hotels for that price, THEN you can have Disney transfer your luggage to the Poly!
