Holiday Inn at Downtown Disney

Has anyone stayed here since it converted from a Courtyard by Marriott to a Holiday Inn?

Specifically interested in the pool area. My family will be staying there during the day while I am at work for one afternoon in Orlando. We're staying at the HI because it is least expensive hotel for just one night within walking distance to DTD.

How long would the walk be to La Nouba at DTD Westside?

I stayed across the street at the Grosvenor and loved being so close to DTD. Your walk will be about 2-3 minutes longer than mine was and La Neuba is waaaayyy on the other end at the PI area. Maybe about 10-12 minutes. There are buses that will pick you up for DTD as well in the evenings. Probably worth it to save your feet for the parks

We stayed for a week in May. The pools were fine. The have 2 one larger than the other also a baby pool and jucuzzi was wonderful . The hotel resturant was decent. We only ate breakfast one time and orderd room service once.
The pizza hut at the hotel never opened while we were there nether did the pool bar. Guess thats just for busy season.
The walk to DTD is about 5 minutes and its a nice mostly shaded walk. We didnt go to the west side but Id guess another 10 minutes.

Not sure what your paying but we got it through hotwire for 35.00 a night. Well worth the price but I wouldnt pay over 70.00 for the room during the busy season.

The bus service was also good the times we used it.
