Holiday Entertainment at Germany

I noticed on the recent list of holiday performers/storytellers that Helga and the nutcracker was not listed as entertainment. Is the only entertainment for Germany the band or is Helga still there? I'm only asking because I will be going over Christmas and I enjoyed Helga.

Thanks for double-checking. I find it odd that Germany has changed the storytellers more than all the other countries that i can remember.

WDWENT.com is showing Germany, Morocco, Hanuakkah, Kwanza and Canada as all Pre 2017 with no posted replacement. Seems pretty drastic. Anyone confirm?

Helga is not listed on All Ears as part of the Holiday entertainment. The Bavarian band is the only thing they have.

Hanuakkah is still there according to All Ears but Kwanza is missing.

Hanuakkah is now between Morocco and France and I think I read it used to be in the American Pavilion?

Wow - according to the Times Guide, there's only 5 countries that have storytellers!

I personally enjoyed Helga. It is interesting how many storytellers they have removed this year. Honestly, I’m surprised they haven’t changed France. Pere Noel has been there since 2000 that I can remember.

I liked Saint Nicholas when he was in Germany. I see that Mexico was replaced with "Coco" so that is probably a this year thing, but it is disappointing seeing how much has been cut back.

St. Nicholas was informative and interesting. The mariachis for “Coco” are new but for a limited time. The three kings were replaced in Mexico I think 3 years ago with mariachis performing Christmas music. I highly recommend the mariachis.

It is really sad to see that Disney has cut Christmas entertainment in Epcot. That has always been a thing that made it worthwhile to visit at that time. Just how much could they have saved?

oh Yuck!!! Wonder what they sound like? Do they play anything German? Sure looks like the quality of live entertainment at Disney is really dropping right thru the floor.
