Follow up information to the question on the email show regarding the Holiday D'Lights Tour.

I have also been looking into booking this tour, here is what I was told by the Cast Member on the Tour Booking Line:

Since this tour includes the Candlelight Processional, do not expect it to be available for booking until the Candlelight Schedule & Dinner Packages are released for booking.
Which according to Kevin, that should be toward the end of July. I am planning on calling back when the Candlelight Schedule is released and see if I can book it then.

The other Holiday Tour - Yuletide Fantasy is open for bookings now - it opened at the 180 day booking window.

What are the main differences between the two tours?

And, which do you recommend?

Cindy

Yuletide Fantasy - concentration is on the Decorations used in the parks & resorts.
Here is the tour description:
Get a behind the scenes look at how holiday Magic is created at Disney World. You'll see how the Magic Kingdom is transformed into a scene from Currier & Ives, how Epcot captures the international flavor of the different cultures and their traditions, and how the Disney Resorts are transformed during this special time of year. You'll get an insiders look at the "tricks of the trade" and the enormity of this annual undertaking. At the conclusion of this walking tour, you'll receive a special holiday gift. This tour is offered Mon - Sat

Holiday D'Lights - concentrates on the lighting used in the parks and also includes reserved seating at Candlelight then an opportunity to see the Holiday Illumniations Fireworks in Epcot. You see the Castle Lighting in MK - The Osbourne Lights in DHS & Candlelight Processional in Epcot.

Here is the description of the tour:
The holidays are a special time at Disney. Get an insider's look into how Cinderella Castle sparkles during the holidays. Enjoy the Candlelight Processional at Epcot. You will experience the Osborne Lights at Disney's Hollywood Studios, and you will meet the Disney event team responsible for planning and executing all the displays at WDW. The tour was offered only on Mondays & Wednesdays in 2009.

I did the Yuletide Fantasy tour back in 2008 and it was really really nice. We learned alot about some of the decorations and each park /resort has their own budget and work on coming up with their own designs - & how early they start planning..

Overall I give this tour :thumbsup2:thumbsup2
