We are arriving at the world tomorrow, and were wondering if anyone knows if the holiday decorations and lights are already up at the parks.

I have a friend who just got back and her PhotoPass photos have the decorations in them at MK. Not sure about other parks...

they told me they put them up after the park closes 11/23 so when you go on the 24th (thanksgiving day) they are up

I was wondering when the park got fully decorated too. We were there for Halloween and by Nov 2 they had set up a huge tree by the Castle and had garland and lights up on Main Street. I couldn't believe how fast the turn around was!

It is truly amazing how quickly they turn the place around. For example when Wilma was coming, we were there and overnight they literally had removed MANY of the things that would be damaged by wind. Many of the things required A BIG CREW or machine to move, so it must be a sight to see how they get it all done.

We went the day OF Wilma after the winds subsided and many of the things were still not back out, yet the next day the things were all back out as normal!

Most of the decorations are now up at DTD. They are finishing the area for Santa.

So as not to start a new thread - does anyone know if The Country Bear Jamboree is doing the Christmas show? We are going Sunday and my brother really wants to see the Bears all decked out in their Christmas garb - he may wait if not.

Thanks!

I was in Orlando yesterday on business and went to Epcot for Dinner. Tree is up and lit.... the "light show" in front of the tree was in progress of being built.

I actually feel sorry for the guys at Epcot. With the Food fest being extended you can tell it's a challange to get that out while trying to get Christmas in!

They were also building the huge gingerbread house at the the Grand Floridian yesterday. Their garland and smaller trees were up but not the big tree. The big trees are up at AK, MK and Epcot.

Oh, how I envy you to be able to "just run into Epcot for dinner". Why doesn't DH have a job where we get to do that?

I am here right now, and MK looks really pretty. We were on the Disney Wonder this last few days, and the Xmas decorations were out on the ship too. The tree by Cinderellas castle is a great photo opp. I understand that the Osbourne lights are up at MGM too. Also over at AK the special Christmas parade is running (Jammin Jingle or something like that!!)

Was hoping to get to see the Country Bears today, but didn't make it. We were here this time last week, and what with Food & Wine, Jersey week and the Soap weekend it sure was busy. It has been a breeze today in comparison!! Longest we waited was to meet Ariel, where my DS5 got a huge smooch..he walked away with a big smile and a big lipstick print on his cheek!!
