Holiday Decorations?

i think, they come down around the 6th or the 7th of December... Well i am hoping anyway cause taht is when i am there!!!

Does anyone know when they go up? A few years ago I heard some people complaining that they went up as soon as the Halloween decorations came down! I sure wouldn't complain. It would be like 2 holidays in 1 visit. We will be leaving the 2nd of Nov. Has anyone seen them that early before?

Nov 1 is the last MNSSHP. So starting at park close on Nov 1st they will begin to take down the halloween decorations at MK & begin to put up the Christmas decorations. The have to have MK fully decorated for the first MVMCP which is the 12. The other parks aren't as fast to complete the decorations. So yes, you'll see some Christmas decorations, but it won't be full blown Christmas on all the properties. :thumbsup2

My bad, I thought you were leaving FOR your trip on the 2nd. Well, if you head over to MK before going to the airport you possibly could see some decorations. You won't see any before Nov 2 though, due to the Nov 1 MNSSHP, that I will be attending!

We were there through Jan 11th last year and there was still a good amount of decorations up.

They start going up early in November and they usually finish up right after Thanksgiving. As for coming down, I've never stayed until then before. I'll be there starting 1/10 in 2008 so I guess I'll find out then. Christmas is the BEST time to go to WDW. Well actually anytime you're at the world is the best time.

There doesn't seem to be a set date when things come down. I've been to WDW about 5 times during that very first week in January, and seeing Xmas decorations has really varied. One year, when checking out of POR to go home on 1/8, the decorations were still up there. However, one year I went to Epcot on 1/2, saw the tree, then 2 days later I went back and it was gone and replanted. Another year, that same Epcot tree was up until 1/5. The one thing I have noticed, however, is that when the decorations come down, the whole thing is done overnight, nothing is left "partially" done. DS and I saw the Epcot tree one afternoon, then the next morning, we went back and not only was the tree gone, but the area was all replanted like the tree had never been there. Boy, those Elves work fast!
