I would like to host a cookie swap but have never done so or attended one before. Those of you who have attended or hosted a party, tell me about the party, the invites, how many cookies each person brought, etc. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated! Hope to hear from you soon!

Hey Unicorn (:thumbsup2 )!

I love cookie swaps. My friend and I co-hosted one this past weekend. Here's how it went:
-Invitation: Just a regular invitation that was in Holiday colors, had the where, when, etc. Also asked the guests to bring about 40 of their favorite homemade cookies in a disposable container. It asked to have the guests RSVP with the type of cookie they were bringing.
-The Decor: Everything was red and green. The hostess had a big table set up. On the table there were placecards with the guests name and their type of cookie on it. At the end of the table there was a big stack of disposable Glad containers/bowls with lids.
-How it went down:Guests walk in, put their cookies in their assigned place. Everyone socializes. Has a few drinks. Tries all the cookies. Then takes a container and packs it full with the cookies they liked.

It's so much fun and easy to host!! Have a great party! :thumbsup2

EDIT: we also had appetizers and tea/coffee. Girls can't live on cookies alone! Well..maybe..
