Holiday arrival

We(myself, wife, and two children ages 11 and 8) will be arriving in Orlando on Friday, December 28th. We will be staying until Tuesday, January 1st. We plan to visit Universal and Islands of Adventure while on this trip. Which day would be least crowded? Any other information or tips would be greatly appreciated.

That's a crazy time there, right on the New Year's Eve rush. I'd say any day but New Year's Eve. I'm not real sure how crowded it is New Year's Day, but New Year's Eve is usually packed.
