Holding questions

I have booked a vacation I can't use with points that will expire 3/31/10. Do these points go into holding and are there any restrictions on these points? I need to get rid of them and will post on the rent/trade board but wanted to know what restrictions are placed on them. Thanks for your input!!

Holding account points are for when you cancel a reservation 30 days or less before arrival. Holding account points can only be used to make a reservation 60 days before arrival or less. So if you wanted to make a reservation for 3/1/10 with the holding account points, you would have to wait until around 1/1/10. Holding account points cannot be banked.

If you cancel 31 days before arrival or more, they are returned to your account as regular points.

And if you do make a reservation, you can not offer it for rental less than 30 days prior to arrival. That is a R/T Board rule for all reservations.

I'm sure Chuck meant that you could not offer it for rent until 30 days prior to arrival.
