Holding points

I currently have 44 points in holding on my BCV contract that i must use by 11/30......If i put in a waitlist request for two nights at the Poly (totaling exact same 44 pts) will those holding points be the ones used ??

Yes. Holding points are always taken before any other points in your account.

Just to add that as along as it’s 60 days or less if the waitlist fills. Granted, it’s already within 60 days for half of November.

But you don’t mention any dates.

If would cancel a reservation within 30 days but more than 1 and we already have an existing reservation less than 60 days in the future will those holding points be used instead of the "regular" points that currently hold the future reservation if all in the same contract?

No. Holding points can only be used for a new reservation which you make 60 days or less into the future. You cannot reallocate holding points to an existing reservation.

Actually, there are reports that the online system will take the holding points into an existing reservation within 60 days of check in when a modification is done online. A friend of mine has recently been successful in doing this.

So, it does seem that a modification counts as "new" for system purposes so if you are within 60 days of check in, it should work.
