holding onto crutches while in a wheelchair?

My DD can use crutches for short distances but we will rent a wheelchair for Disney.

Any thoughts on how to hold on to the crutches all day while she is riding in the wheelchair?

If we rent from the parks, is there a courtesy wheelchair to take her to the buses (Disney transportation)? or is it best to just rent from an outside company and struggle with loading it on buses and storing in our room during the night?

Has anyone ever ridden the rollercoasters with only being weight bearing on one leg?

Any tips for the rider or the pusher would be helpful!

I would rent from an outside company. I rarely see courtesy chairs coming into the parks, at night there are a ton all over the parking lot. Does she need the crutches to transfer to the ride? If not, I would try to leave them. They will be a big pain, and this is coming from just trying to carry them in a chair at a grocery store. Otherwise, I'd look into an scooter or a wheelchair that might have a holding place for them. I know some scooters do at least at the store. Hopefully she is back on her feet soon!

I'm assuming your DD is too young t legally drive an ecv. When I had crutches, and even now when I just have my cane, I just rested the crutches to the side, with the tips on the foot rest of the chair and the length of the crutches either wedged between me and the side/armrest, or against my shoulder with my arm around them.

I agree to rent from an offsite agency. Courtesy chairs can be as scarce as hen's teeth, and some of the resorts can require a lot of walking, too. It's really not difficult to get on and off the bus with a chair - they all have ramps and no struggling is required. And since the chairs fold very easily, they take up very little space in the rooms.

Thanks for the info Callie and Minnie mum! Unfortunately she is 17 and unable to use the ecv in the parks. She cannot put any weight on one leg, so I figured her crutches would be easier and quicker for getting in and out of rides (and the restroom!).

Knee walker, or try Randy's Mobility. They may rent to responsible presons under eighteen

Plan ahead for the airport as well - there is a lot of walking at most airports (and standing in line for the return trip at MCO).

Bring a pair of inexpensive bike gloves to help prevent blisters for the pusher, and rent a gel cushion, or pad the seat with Resort towels to make it more comfy for long days sitting.
