? Holding Account Points ?

Can anyone tell me for sure when I can use them? Is it 60 days out? If so, for me that will fall on a Sat. does this mean I have to wait till Mon? Also, do I have to use them all at once or can I split them up?? Thanks for any help!

You can make a reservation using holding account points 60 days prior to check out. If that day happens to fall on a Saturday, then yes, you'll have to wait until MS opens on Monday.

There is no requirement to use all the points up at one time. You can split them up into as many reservations as you like - subject to availability and the holding account 60 day restriction.

The only restriction is that they may only be used to make a reservation within the next 60 days. If 60 days falls on a time MS is closed, you will have to wait until the next date they are open (usually Monday).

You may use as many of the holding account points as you'd like (they are your points) and may even add current or borrowed points to them to make a reservation. They will expire at the end of the current Use Year if not used.

I should also add that you can also use holding account points to make a reservation for non-DVC options in the "Collections". That would include reservations at non-DVC WDW resorts. However, you cannot make a reservation for those within the last 60 days of your use year if the stay will also occur during the last 60 days of your use year.

Thanks! That has helped! I had talked to Member Services on Tues regarding something else, but had asked them when I could use them to book for Oct.12th. they stated Aug 12th! But, when I added it up myself it was 61 not 60! I wanted to try to book something asap, but I don't want to waste time if I am not going to be able to do it anyway! Thanks!

Since MS said August 12, I'd call today and ask - wouldn't hurt. Shouldn't take all that long. I don't think Friday is a very busy day for MS. Worst that could happen is that you have to call again on Monday, LOL!

Thanks! I just called and I do have to wait till Mon! That's okay, I just hope something will be available (We want a deluxe for 1 night)! We just haven't had much DVC luck lately! Maybe we need some Pixie Dust!

Actually, holding account points are 60 days before CHECK IN date.

From the guidebook:

These Vacation Points can be used for a new Disney Vacation Club Resort reservation during your current Use Year as long as the reservation is booked 60 days or less before the new check-in date.
