Hold your US mail - online service

Hi,

Maybe everyone knew this but me, but you can go to the Post Office's website and issue a "hold mail" order on-line for the time you are on vacation!

Thanks..I never knew there was an online mail hold form. This makes it much easier for us to stop the mail. My post office is included and we live in a rural area..so I am a happy camper...

I guess you really can learn something new everyday. Thanks for the heads up iluvtink. Stopping our mail is something we always forget to do. Now we can do it in advance.

I "lost" a disney prep day as I still had work to finish up. This saved me at least 45 minutes and caused a synapse in my brain that I should be able to do the same with my newspaper. All told, two tasks I thought would take about an hour, took about five minutes!!!

BTW, for you Cleveland area folks who receive the Plain Dealer, send an email to CIRCHELP@plaind.com . Be firm in the email: one of the reasons I was dreading stopping my paper is they ALWAYS screw it up. Thus, I explained in the email that I had no intention of calling (15 minutes of being on hold for them to screw up is way too much time) and that I expected the email to suffice and had no intention of paying for those papers. Of course, be sure to provide your complete name, address and phone.

67 hours and counting before we arrive!!!
