I put a hold (via website) on the 6/27/15 Fantasy, to give myself some time to determine if I want to transfer my OBB. I assume I should have no problem doing that by just calling in before the hold expires? The 10% and deposit would then just transfer over?

No, sorry. You'll need to actually move the OBB reservation as it can't be adjusted to another reservation (that you put on hold this morning). Depending how long you wait to make that decision, the price could increase.

If you know you want to move the OBB (no intention of sailing the current date), the move the OBB and it will still hold for 3 days while you decide if you wish to finalize the deposit. I guess the downside is that if you decide NOT to take that new cruise, you would need to move the OBB back to something with a lower deposit closer to what's already been paid.

Enjoy your cruise!

So if the price doesn't go up, they'll just be able to cancel the current one I have on hold and then book the same stateroom with the OBB?

We haven't decided whether or not we want to keep the current OBB or move it to summer, have to decide if we want to take our son out of school to save 3k+.

That's correct. The one you have on hold will need to be canceled (actually, little to no reason for holding it). The OBB reservation must be moved to the new date, and it will pick up the pricing at the time it is moved -- be that in an hour or a week or next month. Prices are particularly variable today with all the new bookings occuring, so I wouldn't guarantee your price will stay static for long.

I understand the dilemna of deciding what to do, we just went through that at my house this morning as well. Good luck!

heres what another person wrote, which may help you. looks like you don't need to actually call in if you booked it yourself…

Went to my pre-existing cruise reservation which was booked online, clicked Modify and changed the sailing date. New stateroom's deposit was a little more but we have until March 30 to take care of it.

Had a little anxiety but was surprisingly easy to make the change.

just make up your mind before your hold runs out and then do it yourself. hope i understood what you wanted. if not, ignore…..;)

I'm holding onto it because I selected the exact stateroom I wanted.

When trying to "modify" OBB I am getting the Error message and to call member services.

There will be a slight chance that in cancelling the hold ressie and moving the OBB, that stateroom could get snatched up by someone else. Probably not a big chance, maybe less so if you wait a couple of days until the hold is due. But with all the activity today, I wouldn't trust it to stay in inventory even for the short time it takes to cancel out and move the OBB.

Do you have a TA for your OBB? If so, the TA has to modify it.

If not, do you have multiple browser windows open? I had that happen this morning -- I had the "regular" fares showing in 1 window, but when I tried to modify the OBB in another window (I wanted to compare) it gave me an error. Close the other window and try again.

If neither of those...I'm not sure. You'll probably have to call unless someone else has a suggestion.

Good luck!

I just got off the phone with Disney. I booked a cruise this morning with the staterooms I wanted. There was no problem changing my current OBB to those rooms. They were able to hold the rooms I wanted while she changed my original OBB and canceled the reservation I made today.
