Well, got my Member Guidebook which means that I'm an OFFICIAL DVC MEMBER!!

WOO HOO!!

Shontell over at www.dvcbyresale.com has helped me with the process and she's been great.

It's a June Use Year contract for 75 points at OKW! Plus, all 75 were banked from 2002 giving me 150 right now!

I'm so happy and I want to thank everyone for your encouragement and support through my DVC quest! LOL

I'll also post and update my progression on the resale to assist anyone else lookin' to get into a resale.

06/08 - Confirmed over cell phone that I wanted to purchase the resale contract offered.

06/10 - Sent signed contract & deposit check 'overnight' to title company.

06/11 - Faxed 'disclosures' to Shontell (www.dvcbyresale.com)

07/10 - Received an e-mail notification from Shontell that we have been officially approved! Now, awaiting closing paperwork.

07/15 - Received closing documents.

07/17 - Sent closing documents along with final check.

07/23 - Closing has taken place....I'm an official DVC member!!

07/31 - Received 'product understanding checklist' & 2002-2003 Member Guidebook!

07/31 - Officially booked my first trip home to OKW!

I just heard that my contract closed today (YIPPEE!) I sent my deposit and signed contracts on 4/29, heard of Disney's waiving the ROFR on 5/20, and closed today. Hope yours goes this quickly.

I think Rich does not get ROFR only if Arnyvee waives Grand Villa at OKW access.....
