Hold on to your flip flops on FJ

I read all about what staff will or won't allow you to have with you on the FJ
Staff never made mention about flip flops and there aren't any signs either. My DD got scared when she saw the spiders and kicked my foot and sure enough, my nice LL Bean flip flop was gone! They won't stop the ride, so they had someone get me a new pair of flip flops from the gift shop. I checked lost and found at the end of each day we were there and no flip flop.

So, take off the shoes people!!

The first week or so they required people to put rubber bands on your flip flops, then after that they stopped. They also said at that time that you were not allowed to have no shoes on during the ride..

Since then every time I rode I held on to my flip flops every time I rode, and nobody said anything (about 5 times or so). If you know what is coming, you should be fine wearing them, but if not you may want to hold on to them the first time

Thanks! I'm leaving Sunday for Universal. I had read that they had stopped giving out the rubber bands. I packed last weekend and made sure I had a snack size baggie full of rubber bands for my flip flops. Not sure how they hold them on that well though.

I've ridden about 15 times with flip flops on. Before my first ride, I asked the tm if I should take them off and she said, just squeeze your toes to keep them on. Haven't lost one yet.

I hear ya, but when someone kicks you unexpectadly, shoes can fly

Yep, I take mine off just incase. I like to move my feet a lot, so I feel I'd lose them on the ride if I wasn't extremely careful. Heck, I can barely keep them on when I'm not on a ride!

I often sit on my flipflops when I sit on any rides where my feet dangle. Will that work on FJ? If it doesn't, I heard there was a small pocket of some sort that you can stick things in. Will flipfops fit?

Flip flops will not fit. The compartment is about the size of a sunglass case. Either hold them or scrunch your toes.

Or, as I said above, sitting on them works just fine.
