Hi all,
New poster here, I'm Mariela, known online as Sapphire for eons (my user name is actually the archaic word for sapphire in Japanese.)
I've sporadically read this board for a while now, but started seriously reading when BF and I began to plan our first Disney Cruise.
Quick background:
1. I've now seen over the course of my life 48/54 of the Disney Animated Canon. Five of my missing films are sitting in a pile on BR to be watched when I have time.
2. I first went to DW as a child for one day during a summer my sister and I were shipped off to relatives. I remain mad that my great-aunt didn't let my sister and I ride Space Mountain because she deemed it too scary. Please Snow White was scary, not SM.
3. I first went to DL right before college (I went to USC.) However it was years later, riding Space Mountain that I experienced a moment of Perfect Bliss and realized DL was truly my happiest place on earth.
4. My BF got us APs for DL, despite the fact I don't live in CA (yet) because he reasoned, correctly, that I would be less likely to run him ragged every trip if there was the promise of another one.
5. I have been to 10/11 Disney Parks in the world! Only one I haven't yet is HK. Figure I'll wait till Shanghai is up and running. Doesn't mean I don't need to go back to Paris and Tokyo as soon as I possibly can!
6. I LOVE DONALD DUCK.
7. Belle is my favorite princess since she appeared. Not only did she look the most like me, she loves to read!
8. Despite all the parks I've been to, I have yet to meet Prince John and that makes me
Upcoming Disney trips:
1. Early February - first onsite trip (Pop Century), first trip to Epcot in oh, 20 years.
2. Sometime in April or May (or maybe March?) - one more trip to DL before my pass is blocked out for summer.
3. May - second onsite trip (plan is All-Star Sports), first ever SWW. Even snagged a BoG reservation.
4. June - First ever Disney Cruise (first ever cruise period) - the Wonder to Alaska.
I am very lucky my BF loves to travel, is good with points and miles to cut our costs and humors my insane love of Disney Parks!
