Hi everybody,

From what I've read on these boards, it sounds like the kids suites at HOJOs tend to get reserved rather quickly. I did a cursory glance for Oct 2011 in the week that we would go to D-land (if we were going this year) and they didn't have any kids suites or queen suites available.

Does anybody know how many queen suites they have? I read on another message thread that the kids suites are limited to 1 building and there are 2 per floor.

Has anybody stayed in the queen suites at HOJOs? If so, what was it like? how far in advance did you have to make your reservation?

We stayed at Hojo march 15-20. We had a queen premium room in building 1 the first night as I waited to long to book the kids suite. The rest of the nights were in the kids suite which we LOVED!!! We had DS 5 and DD 16 and myself and DH. For four nights, it was great to be able to shut the door and sleep in peace. We also loved having two bathrooms. We slept in one morning while the kids watched tv and we never heard them! Now the road noise is kind of loud from the freeway, but we turned on the AC and did fine. The beds were comfy and the kids loved the bunk beds. It was also nice their room had a loveseat and coffee table to spread out. Our DS liked playing with the squishy cubes which were chairs/tables/climbing toys.

We would totally stay there again with two kids and two adults. Eventhough people say that you're not in your room much, it's still nice to have space to spread out with tired little ones and lots of suitcases etc. We also took our stroller which is not small and it had a corner to be in no problem. It really was perfect for our family

We only got to stay in the Kids Suite once and really loved it especially since we have twins who are 4 1/2... I would like to reserve this room alll our visit, but it's never available.. Most other stays (like this coming April) we stay in the queen premium room. I like that room too.. I can't complain about HOJO's it's a great deal and a nice stay!!

Ah, ok, so the queen suite at HOJOs is a 'queen premium' room when you book it? That's good to know. Glad to hear that you guys had good experiences! Our kids tend to sleep better when we're not in the same room as they are. Plus my DH is a night owl and likes to watch TV late at night, which would totally keep our kids up and awake.

It's my understanding that they only have 1 queen "suite" w/ the seperate living room if that is what you are talking about. It is in building 2 facing the quiet pool and gets booked rather quickly as well. It is the 1 w/ the nice "kitchenette" area w/ the bar stools right? I really liked that as well, but in my research on their website, looks like there is only 1 room like that and it's expensive. We were able to book a kidsuite, so we'll stick w/ that. If you watch the videos on their website, it shows all the different rooms and the premium queen is 1 large room, not a suite w/ 2 rooms. HTH:goodvibes

No, the queen premium is not a suite. That is the classification for a building 1 room with Disney view and 2 queen beds. I believe the PP is right about the queen suite. Sounds like a kid suite might suit you, but there are only 14 of those and they do fill quickly.

I went to their website and looked at the videos and realized that you guys are right...the premium queen is different than the queen suite. If there's only 1 queen suite in the whole place, then my odds would probably be better in getting a kids suite.

How far in advance do the kids suites usually book up? We'd be going there either early June of next year or 2nd week of October next year (2012).

I reserved a Kid's Suite the first week in October for our mid-July trip this year, but this is our first time to stay overnight near the park, so I don't know what is typical. Honestly I would be happy with any room there I think. It looks like a great hotel! Good luck!

I reserved our kidsuite in early Jan. for early June of this year.

I've never had a problem booking a kids suite, but we do tend to book early. Booked in Jan or Feb for our November trip this year. Before there were kids suites I had trouble getting the 1 queen suite they have or the 1 king suite they have. If you can get a kids suite they are great and have been recently renovated, less than 2 years I think. Lots of space, 2 tv's, 2 bathrooms and what kids doesn't love bunk beds.

Sounds like the kids suite will definitely be a good fit for us. Our girls will be 4 and 6. I'm not sure if ODD will want to sleep on the top bunk, so they can just share the bottom bunk or I can use the pull-out sofa for 1 of the kids.

I suspected that ya'll probably book way in advance to make sure that you get 1 of the kids suites, especially since there are only 14 of them in the whole place. we will probably be going at a time where we couldn't get the Entertainment Book rate, but I found a discount code on either Mousesavers.com or www.mouseplanet.com for 20% if you put in Promo code LKMC when you search on your requested dates. That's better than the AAA rate.

I wasn't so keen on the possibility of staying here, but everybody reports such rave reviews of the place, which says a lot. And 1 of the HOJO Anaheim employees appears to post here and seems to be quite responsive to their customers' requests and concerns. That says a lot, too, in today's world when oftentimes customer service = you call a 1-800 number and speak to somebody who couldn't care less about your needs or requests.

Now I just have to decide between June or October 2012. Ay yai yai! I don't know if I can wait until October of next year.
