I haven't even stayed at the Howard Johnson yet (it's coming up quick) and they already rock!

They have outstanding customer service! I cannot wait to stay there for the first time at the end of the month!

Just had to give them a shout out!!!

We love the HoJo too, great staff, great rooms, great rates!!! :)

Hi tlovesdis,

My family & I will be staying at the HOJO also from the end of this month, we will be arriving there on 28th & its our very first trip to DL (were from australia btw):thumbsup2
We are all excited & have heard all great reviews on this particular hotel.

Might even see you around to say G'Day...:goodvibes

How fun, your first trip! You are going to love it!

I will be there with a bunch of baton twirlers! That would be cool if we ran into each other!

Neither have I, but I hope to stay there in October! I love their website and their little video clips! And uh, not to mention their discounts! ;)

Just booked a 1 bed king suite for December! Please convince me that the freeway noise will not be too much of a distraction!

We stayed on the freeway side in February. I did here some freeway noise the first night, but my dh and ds did not. It was not enough noise to keep me awake.

After the first night I didn't hear anything. (After being the parks all day there isn't much that can keep me awake!)

There is a fan you can run to provide some white noise (which dh loves!)

I am a medium sleeper, if that helps. And would not hesitate to stay "freeway side" again.

Thanks SeattleTink! Good info to know. And right after DL, we are heading on Amtrak to Seattle!

Hey! I used to twirl baton when I was younger! Ahhh, the parade days! I miss it! :D

The HoJo is the ONLY off-site property I will ever stay at. I learned a valuable lesson last October. :thumbsup2

I think this is one of the reasons why they are so popular here on the DIS. They really want to give you the best experience there.

Ack! That's so cool! Much better than being stuck in a parade behind horses! [That was always my least favorite, LOL!] :D

Have fun!

Oh yes, being behind horses is just lovely! We do two local holiday parades every year and somehow always end up behind horses!

LOL! The first time that I was ever in a parade, I think I was about 9, and I dropped my baton into a...well, lets say it was a 'horse present'. I looked down at the baton, over at the moms who were walking alongside us on the parade route, and down at the baton again, and decided that I was done for the day!

LOL! My mom kept gesturing at me to go pick up the baton, and I couldn't FATHOM how she could expect me to do it!

I toughened up as I did more parades- but the moms always carried baby wipes just for that reason! :rotfl: Ohhh fond baton memories!

We're staying there for the first time this Friday- Monday. My son is so excited for the water play area but it looks like the weather may have other ideas...:headache:
