HOJO vs. 5 for 3???

We have booked HOJO for the third week in July. We have 2-day park hoppers that we won through a Radio Disney contest and we'll buy 3-day park hoppers to supplement.

BUT.... now I'm seeing the 2 more days and nights free offer and wondering if I should go with that. I'm not sure what I'd do with the 2-day park hoppers that we won...maybe sell them or save them for a weekend trip later in the year. Don't know.

Question: What would you do?

Right now, I'm thinking of sticking with my original plan. I think it's the cheapest.

I've been comparing too. It is about double to stay onsite, but it is a great experience, if you can swing it. Otherwise HOJO is fabulous!

I stayed onsite last time and loved it. I know the walk to HOJO is about the same, but the walks are different. If I stay onsite we get to go through Downtown Disney. If I stay at HOJO we walk down Harbor. Also, the walk to HOJO becomes longer if we want to go to Downtown Disney before heading back to the hotel. BUT...HOJO is more economical. What to do??? Either way, I know we'll have a blast. It will have been almost two years since we've been to DL. I can't believe that! We only live a 6 hour drive away!

If you can take advantage of the deal, consider it. If the economy starts to get better the deal in the summer may be off the plate in the future.

We did DL Hotel last year and HOJO the year before. If money is an issue do HOJO. If not then hands down DL hotel. Better themeing, pool is way better, and the walk thru downtown disney is soooo much better than walking on the congested harbor blvd. Sometimes there are homeless people, big busses going by, and the hordes walking into the park. I actually prefer Fairfield Inn to HOJO. We are planning on doing Grand Californian this year as the 5 for the price of 3 deal is hard to pass up on a deluxe resort. This might be the only chance we get on a deal like that again.

Have you priced out both? Remember you can buy 5 for 3 tickets even without the hotel package purchase. Just do the math and decide what is best. Either way you should hold on to the the Radio Disney tickets since you will be paying the same price for 3 or 5 day tickets.

Be wary of the 5 for 3. When I priced out the hotel and tickets separately, it was cheaper. Also three nights at DLH was around $215 per night and the 5 for 3 worked out to be about $200 per night. Still good prices, but definitely not five nights for the price of three.

Good advice^^^

We priced out the GC for the 40% offer and it was cheaper to book separately as well and then book the 5 for 3 tickets separate too.

regardless of where you choose to stay, your 3 day ticket (if purchased ahead of time) can/will include the 2 free days. You do not have to buy ticket with hotel to get the 5 for 3 deal on tickets.

In regards to hotel, last year we chose Hojo, this year we are choosing DLH. It does end up being about double the price for hotel this year.
We did very much enjoy Hojo and would stat there again.

This is all great advice. Thanks! I think we'll keep HOJO and buy the 3 for 5 day park hoppers. We'll save our Radio Disney tickets for a couple quick weekends for DW and me! Sorry, kids! Mom and Dad are going to DL by themselves! hahahahahaha

Actually, we had some friends who just did that and loved it.

You might be able to upgrade your two day park hoppers. If your tickets have a face value, this should be okay. Might be worth checking out!

I wish. The tickets expressly say they cannot be upgraded. Oh, well.
