How long of a walk is it between these 2 locations? They look close on the map, but maps can be deceiving!

It'd be quite a bit of a walk (around twice the distance that walking from Hojo's to the Park is) , but still do-able.

The last two times we've visited (October 2009 and June 2009) the Gardenwalk has had large buses that would pick you up just outside DLR and drive you to the Gardenwalk. I'm hoping this is still the case because this year we're staying at the Residence Inn Maingate (across the street from the Gardenwalk) and it would really be nice if we could ride the buses back to the Gardenwalk after we're finished playing in the parks, have a nice dinner there, and then just walk across the street to our hotel.

I'm sure you could walk it but I wouldn't want to. Just grab the shuttle at the park and you're good to go. :)

We did the walk when we stayed at Hojos a year ago! :( it was a year ago tomorrow we were lining up at Disneyland...

anyways the walk is flat and nice only took 10-15mins - the walk back wasnt too bad either *** we were slightly drunk from being at 300 Anaheim

... which is the bowling alley on the north end of Gardenwalk. Sounds like fun!

From Hojo's, it's about 7/10th mile to the north end and 9/10th mile (total) to the south (Katella) end, where all the nice restaurants are. Here's a Wikimapia path map.

When you are referring to the shuttle do you mean the ART? I was looking at the ART website today and it looks like most of them go by the Gardenwalk. I anticipate needing to take the shuttle since our 5 year old will think it's cool plus be tired from walking a lot. But...sometimes he surprises me and is up for walks when I think he's too tired.

Just bumping this, as I'm also interested in which shuttle it is. :)

Are the large buses that you see in the pickup area painted like Citywalk free? (not the Art buses, but the full size buses that take people to Citywalk and back.

no the shuttle at the park, it's not ART. I don't know if it's free or not, I've never used it. We drive to DLR so we just drive to the GW when we want to go. :)

The Gardenwalk buses are the large Greyhound type buses and I assume they are free. We've never taken them before but are looking forward to it on our upcoming trip.

Those are exactly the ones I meant. We've never used them either (walked to GardenWalk), but, we may utilize them in the future if they are free. We usually stay at Desert Inn, so, if we have to pay, it's not worth it to us (spend money to save about a 1/4 mile by the time we walk back over across the street to get one  )

They were not all Greyhound type buses. Disneyland had parking at the Gardenwalk parking garage and all kinds of shuttles were being used.

I don't doubt this because I know they were using the Gardenwalk parking garage for overflow, but the big buses were the only ones I ever noticed that had Gardenwalk on them.
