HoJo Room Request

I need all your expert advice. Just booked a king room at HoJos. I was wondering if I should request a certain building during our stay. I want a room with a balcony because we will have our 2 year old son with us and we can stand/sit outside (weather permitting) while he is falling asleep. We plan on coming back during the day for a nap so a room without the skylights would be best. We aren't really light sleepers, but I don't want a room that is too loud because I don't know how my son will do. Willing to change to a queen room if those are better. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Call back and request a quiet, lower level room in Bldg. 2 with a balcony. They will not promise anything, but always do their best to accommodate your requests.

The main thing to request with this hotel is a non freeway side room. I have read reports from people in freeway side rooms of traffic noise and vibration all day and night. We were in Bldg 2., second floor right above the hottub area and it was wonderful. This is a nice hotel with pretty grounds and two nice pool areas. The only disadvantage is the location of some of the buildings to the highway. One way you might be able to avoid this is to pay the small upgrade to a themepark view. I would definitely call the hotel directly, their staff excels at customer service and explain you need a quiet room and see what they suggest. Oh, and the skylights do allow in some light but for my kids that was good as the natural light coming in helped us to wake up more naturally as we do at home. But if your child does sleep during the day for nap with shades drawn to make it dark those lights would be a problem I guess.
