We just stayed there the one time, and we stayed in building one, top floor, with a premium view, straight out to the Matterhorn. I specifically requested a room that didn't have trees blocking, and Jennifer came through for us, bless her heart, with room 1713. I know you can request specific rooms, and the earlier you do so, the better your chance of getting them-- of course, they can never guarantee it.
Others have said that they love the pool view rooms in building two.
As far as freeway noise-- out on our balcony, of course, it was quite loud. However the rooms are very well insulated, and we found it very quiet. The bigger problem for me was people out in the hallway letting their doors shut loudly (you know, "ka-CHUNK!" at 2 a.m.).
We always request top floor, so as not to have little feet pounding over head. The top floors at HoJo have these lovely skylights, that make the room so light and airy. Loved it! They also had the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in at a hotel, and I've stayed at many 5-star hotels.
There's a picture and a video of the view from our balcony in my trip report, linked in my siggy below. I think it's on page 4.
HTH!
