We are en route to Anaheim from Utah via Las Vegas, staying Tuesday through Saturday at the HOJO with Entertainment Retro rate, and just realized that we neglected to bring our Entertainment Card.

We do have family joining us Thursday, so have asked them to bring the card with them when they come. How big of sticklers are the HOJO folks about having the card on check-in? Are we in trouble?

Secondly - anyone had any luck getting an early check-in at HOJO - our plan is to get in as early as possible and spend some time at the pool Tuesday.

Thanks, all.

Our last three stays at HoJo, twice they asked for the entertainment card and once they did not. When I made reservations yesterday for HoJo (January, YAY!) the gal asked if I did indeed have an entertainment card. Don't risk it.

I have used the AP retro rate and told them I would be getting my AP when I went into the parks after checking in. They simply asked me to bring the AP by the front desk sometime before check-out. I would think if you explained about the ET card being forgotten, you should be able to check-in still, wait for the card to arrive, and show them the card before check-out. I would not assume that you won't have to show them the card at all before settling the bill.

Also, Hojo has no problem checking you in early, but there may not be a room ready for you yet. They will hold your luggage for you and give you a parking placard. You can also ask for pool access but will have to change your clothes in the restroom.

We've stayed at hojo several times with the retro rate. We were asked to show the card each time at check-in.

With the AP, the policy is to have it for check out, I just went with the intention of getting my AP on our last day and they told me as long as I showed it before check out, that would be fine. As it turned out, they never even asked to see it, though I did upgrade my parkhoppers to an AP before check out. I think they would be consistent with the Entertainment Card, just explain the situation.

We were there last week and they did indeed ask to see the card.

How much does an Entertainment Book run in the Anaheim area? It might be cheaper to buy one (especially if you use any of the coupons for local restraunts) than to overnight your card.

We stayed there many times at the Ent Rate, we always had to show our card upon check in. I don't know what they will do regarding that.

As for early check-in, if your room is ready they will let you check in early, if your room is not early they will give you a parking pass and offer to hold your bags in their secured room (as opposed to leaving them in the car in the parking lot) until the room is ready. You will be allowed to use the pool and there are bathrooms on the ground floor of building 1 that you can use to change, there may be bathrooms in the water play area but I have never checked.

Hi there! We do ask to see the Entertainment card at check-in. It’s such a good rate that we need proof that you have it. :thumbsup2 You can either have the Entertainment card or book with you, either one will work. There was one time where one of our guests forgot their card at home and they were able to get someone to fax a copy of their card to our hotel. Or, if you have family that will be traveling with you, but not checking in until a later date, you can use their card to get you a discount well. This will work if they show us the Ent card before you check-out, and if there are enough Ent cards to cover all the rooms. Remember 1 Ent card is good for 2 rooms; if you have 3 rooms, then you will need 2 Ent cards to get the discount.

And in regards to an early check-in, as pixiewings71 said we cannot guarantee it, but we’ll be happy to store your luggage for you, and you are welcome to use our pools until your room is ready. If your room is ready before 4pm we’d be happy to let you into your room, but we can’t guarantee it.

Hope this helps!

I just noticed that Entertainment has an online membership. Can you get the Entertainment rate with that?
