When we stayed last time we were admiring the rooms in Building 4 that are right there by Castaway Cove. We were thinking how nice it would be if our older children could go out & play with us on the balcony watching.

Anybody know what types these rooms are? It seem from what I've read particular types of rooms are in certain buildings.

I haven't stayed there but.... I would just call and ask someone at the front desk. I called twice last week with different quesitons and everyone seemed sooo helpful and polite! Someone on the boards will know but it never hurts to call. ;)

They are NDD1 rooms. They are standard rooms with 2 oversized double beds. They have a small fridge, but no microwave. I don't believe any of these rooms have the new pillow-top mattresses yet.

Hope that Helps!

We were in Bldg. 5 NDD1 last weekend... if you stay in those, I would request bottom floor if you plan to sleep a lot. The top floor has huge skylights which are nice, but no way to get the room dark for napping, and it gets very light in the morning. Also they let in quite a bit of light at night. We were only there 2 nights so no biggie for us, but if it were a longer trip I would want it darker.

Also, we were in the end room, which basically has no balcony, maybe only room for standing - compared to all other rooms which had huge balconies. So if you plan to spend some time on it, make sure you request NOT an end room. Again, we didn't have time to sit there anyway, so no prob.

These are the Pavilion rooms, we LOVE the Pavilion rooms!!! We prefer bldgs 4 & 6 with a courtyard view on the second floor. We actually like the skylights a lot, and prefer the natural light coming in compared to people running around above us and running up and down the stairs. I would like to mention, that if your kids are under 16 you do actually need to be in the pool area with them. Sure you'd be at the balcony watching, but that's not quite close enough. We asked about that last time we stayed there, if you had those rooms if you could sit on the balcony and watch the kids, front desk staff said no, that the person on slide duty would make them leave the pool area. Just an fyi. :)

Thanks so much for the info. Exactly what I needed to know. We had admired those rooms while we were there & dh brought it up last night for our upcoming trip. So, I'll give him the info. I think we were wanting the microwave so that is a bummer.
