HOJO pool question

Can local friends come swim with us at HOJO?
Or are they really strict like onsite WDW resorts?

Pool and water play area are for hotel guests only. I suspect that is why Hojo started issuing wristbands to guests a few years ago. They must be worn for entry to the water play area. I do not know if they are needed for the pool. You can always call them to find out what their policy is.

The water play area is a definite hotel only area where you must show wrist bands. They do have a regular pool too, though we've never used it. If it was just one person you could potentially add them to your reservation if space allowed and get another band, but a whole group won't be able to join you.

Agree hotel guests only. They issue every guest with 1 plastic wristband that must be worn at all times. I have seen and heard staff
as people where theirs was if it was not visible.

Honestly we never wear those silly wrist bands to the pool. There’s barely anyone there we’ve found. Mind you we do not go into the kiddy area unless going to the hot tub at night. We took the bands with us in our bag but never once had anyone ask us over several visits.

That makes sense - I've not even seen a hotel staff member come into the regular pool area though - maybe to put some towels in but that's like maybe once in 20 times being at the pool. I love the fact they have the kiddy area as it honestly keeps the garden pool so much quieter and it's quite a little distance from the pool as well so you don't even hear the noise from the kiddy area.

Hi Everyone. You guys are right! Our pool and Castaway Cove Waterpark is for our hotel guests only. When you arrive, our Front Desk Staff will issue you wristband for each registered guest in the room, up to the maximum occupancy of the room. We do ask that the wristband is visible when you are at either of the pools. If you do not want to wear them on your wrist, you can always attach them to your bathing suits or swim trunks.
