It's down to the wire...gotta make the reservations. :yay: I'm still torn between HOJO and FFI. Which would you choose and why??
ps...have 3 kids under 5 that like pool, but I think it'll be too cold for the HOJO pool anyway.
Thanks!!!

If i have to choose these two hotels, i would choose HOJO.

HOJO has the entertaiment rate for the room and gets a nice discount off the room. They have a great pool in Castaway cove.

FFI is a typical hotel, but it is closer to the DLR.

Price wise, HOJO is better with the entertainment rate and has more room options than FFI.

Thanks for the reply. I'm going in Nov and there isn't an entertainment rate then. I've found the prices through disneyland reservations to be basically the same as expedia and it gives us the MTMM. The price between the two rooms is basically the same also...but you don't get a choice of room types.
Just curious...what hotel would you choose??

If you have the entertainment card, you get a 15% off discount at HOJO anytime. If you are staying on one of those days at full discount price, the rooms go around $59-$99 a night. You can go to there website: http://www.hojoanaheim.com/ Here is the website to talk about the entertaiment rate http://www.hojoanaheim.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=13

Disneyland website only gives you one selective room than the other hotels website. When people buy a certain amount of days (3+) on the hopper they get MTMM or MM. But it does come with a package.

On different seasons, HOJO can go from $89 a night to $119 for the cheapest room at full price. FFI goes around $109 to $139 at full price.

HOJO has 9 different types of rooms. From kings, doubles, queens, and suites. FFI has two diffferent types of rooms 2 queens and 1 king with a sofa bed.

I would choose HOJO over FFI. I stayed at both hotels, but HOJO has the discounts with entertainment rate or AP. HOJO is more of a theme base hotel than a motel. HOJO has Castaway Cove, it is a small built in water park great for the kids and a standard pool right next to Building #2

I would choose Hojo. Lorealle has been made aware of the pool temp and I am sure it will be corrected. Even if you cannot get the entertainment rate you always get a 15% discount with in house reservations. They also have a good deal for anyone travelling this fall.

10/20/09-11/25/09
11/28/09-12/17/09
1/4/10-2/4/10
20% off for anyone and 25% for AP holders.

I'm going to be odd man out...I like FFI better.

It is closer and I thought the rooms and bathrooms were more spacious. The extra fold out chair was really nice for the 5th person in your party.

I have stayed at both - and enjoyed both stays. But if price is the same, I would stay at FFI.

Really, both choices are good ones...but my vote is FFI.

I also have stayed at both and like both. I don't think you will go wrong with either. If the weather is nice, HOJO is your bet. The castaway cove is just so much fun for the little ones. FFI is closer, but not by much. My DH thinks the rooms in building 1 are bigger than FFI and I think he's right. Having a sink inside and outside of the bathroom was a real plus with having two teenage girls along on our trip, let alone me, a self-professed bathroom hog. :) I'm jealous, would love to go back and we just got home!

Thanks guys!!! I booked FFI today...became an easier decision when HOJO was booked! I think it'll be great!
