If you have stayed in either, can you please give feedback? Trying to decide which one to book. Here are my pros/cons.

King:
pros- larger room, view of DL and pool (big deal to my kids)
cons- more $$, arched windows being too bright in the am

Kids:
pros- 2 bathrooms, cheaper
cons- no view, In Bldg 1 facing freeway (noise)

I haven't stayed in either, but we did stay in Bldg 1 facing the freeway (Oct 09) and freeway noise wasn't an issue at all.

Doesn't the King Suite only have 1 King bed and a pull out sofa sleeper (double size?). I would think that would be a bit cramped for 3 kiddos. Or will you use a rollaway?

I have stayed in the queen suite and really enjoyed that room b/c it had 2 bathrooms and a nice kitchen area with a huge bar for eating. It's in building 2 though, so no Disney view.

They provide a roll away for the 3rd child.

For some reason I was thinking the kids suites were in building 1, but I could be wrong. Anyway, bldg 2 is our favorite - we have never had a problem with freeway noise in that building. On our last trip we stayed in bldg 1 for the first time and it was definitely noisier. We just turned the a/c up though and that worked pretty well in drowning out the noise.

All the kids suites ARE in bldg. 1, freeway side.

You are right. It is Bldg 1!

We stayed one time in building one facing the freeway, and to be honest, if you are on the top floor, it can be pretty loud. It didn't ruin anything for us, and we wouldn't not stay if it was all that was available, but if you know that is the building you'll be in, I'd request a bottom floor room. :goodvibes

Does anyone know what floor the Kids' Suites are on?

From what I have heard from Lorealle, there are 2 on each of the 7 floors. One near the elevator, and one at the very end of the hall closest to the freeway wall. I'd request one near the elevator and on a lower floor to have your best chance at avoiding freeway noise.

Thanks. I will request that. DS uses a wheelchair (does not need a HA room), so closer to the elevator will be better anyway.

The arched windows are all kinds of bad if you are sensitive to that! It wook me up before 6 every stinkin day!! I requested no windows this time!!! :lmao: The veiw we had was neat but not a big deal. I don't think I would pay for it again. We could see the Matterhorn, Mickeys wheel of death, umm I mean Mickeys fun wheel and the Grizzly bear. That was building 1 714 we think and that was two queens with room for a rollaway if you move the table to the little nook in the corner. It had the veiw I think it was 79 a night with the ET rate and the 10 upgrade for the view. Just Fyi I don't know about the kids suite but there is a Utube tour of them online and they look really neat! :thumbsup2

Our family of 4 stayed in a Hojo Kids Suite for 10 nights in November 09. I'm pretty sure it was room # 402, at the elevator end of the corridor on the 4th floor. Even though there is a small amount of noise from the freeway, it was not enough to disturb our sleep, more like "white noise", that we didn't notice after the first couple of days.

We couldn't hear the elevator at all, and because there are no rooms either side there was no noise from neighbours.

We absolutely loved these suites and will definitely try to book one when we return next year (fingers crossed!).

Just my 2 cents about the Kids' Suite... We stayed for 6 nights in Nov. on the 6th floor. We were in the one closest to the freeway. The freeway noise was very noticeable when we first walked into the room, but it became "white noise" to us after just a few minutes. Didn't bother us at all, and the kids (4, 7, and 10) didn't ever notice it. We liked the location as there was no sound from neighbors. The end wall was on one side of us, the ice machine area on the other side. We would definitely stay in that room again. :)
