HOJO Entertainment Rate Dates

But the "non-cancelable" policy is supposedly what they changed. The lady told me you can now cancel up to 30 days in advance. I even questioned her on it a bit since it said the non-cancel/date hoarding thing on the hojos entertainment rate site, and she said yep, they just changed the policy and it's 30 days now. :confused3 Makes it nice for people who do wanna book farther out for sure!

If you book online it is non-cancelable, but if you book directly with in-house you have a 30 day cancelation policy.

Do you think HoJo will change my rate if I already booked a kids suite in Nov. 2012 at the AP rate but would prefer the Retro rate? I originally didn't book the retro rate because I want the flexibility to cancel if I need to (I am ok with the 30 day policy, but I had thought the retro was non-refundable).

If the retro rate is available for the date you are staying with us in November, give our in-house reservations a call and will be happy to change the rate for you. :thumbsup2

Hope this helps,
-Kriss :goodvibes

Hmm...they haven't posted the 30-day policy to their website yet. I really want to try HOJO - and almost did our last trip. My parents were hem-hawing about going with us and retro rate popped up for 3 of our 4 dates, so we jumped on them. But then my parent decided to go with so we cancelled and stuck with our Desert Inn ressie instead (cheaper price than 2 rooms at HOJO and a much shorter walk for the seniors). I've scheduled suites at Desert Inn for our final trips (alas - the APs will be expiring), but my parents and sister are so non-committal. I hate being stuck with a huge pricey room if just DH and the kids go, you know? I'm not a date hoarder, I'm definitely going, I just don't know how many people are going with me... The HOJO looks so nice, though!

What's the difference between the Entertainment Rate and the Retro Discount?

The retro discount is the 50% off rate offered for certain nights to Entertainment card or AP holders. Hojos keeps a list of available dates which change frequently based upon availability.

On dates when the "retro" rate is not available, you can still use your Entertainment card to get a 15% discount or you can use your AP to get 20% off.

Interesting. But that can't be right. Because it's offered during the time I plan to go (Oct) and Howard Johnson quotes $149/night for a 2 queen room w/a Disney view. And the website for the Retro Rates says it's $89/night, which isn't 50%. I mean $89/night is cheap anyways.

Nevermind. It's $159. I'm an idiot (or just tired). HEHEH sorry!

Sorry, I shouldn't have said 50% off. I think quite a while ago it used to be phrased that way, or I'm just mis-remembering. Hotel rates are so variable though, that that couldn't always be right anyway. The "retro" rates are fixed by room type and usually quite a bit better than their "regular" rates. I have indeed seen regular rates that were twice as much as the "retro" rates.

HAHAHA no it is 50% off, at least for my dates. I looked at the wrong room type.

You just need an entertainment card. They come with an entertainment book purchase at www.entertainment.com. Also, (dis'ers please correct me if I am not supposed to share this), you can get them on ebay for around $2.00 or under. You don't have to have a book for Anaheim, it can be for wherever you live, as long as you have the card that comes with the book.
