Wondering if we can use our entertainment card to get an ent. rate at Hojo? anyone tried this?

Yes, we've done that several times - you can buy a Calgary or Edmonton, (or any other entertainment book for that matter) and they will allow you to show them that card from that book. You can even buy just the card sometimes on eBay but I find that the book is worth it especially when on sale.

We are from the UK and was going to buy the card only as the book (Orange County) plus the card is very expensive when you add on the International postage costs. However I wondered if I did decide to go for it and buy the book as well - if there are quite a few coupons within the book redeemable in the Anaheim area (walkable from DLR)? - I'm thinking offsite restaurants really.

We did buy the book and card one year for the Orlando area and only used one of the coupons in the book - we bought it mostly for a discount on our room at Royal Pacific Universal Studios Florida.

OP, as jory mentioned, yep!

I hear that NZ and Australia have ent books too, and they work as well.

pigby....I'm not sure that the coupons in the OC book are good for places right near the resort. If you have a car that might work, but I would really check out the entertainment dot com site (you can join the site and look around withOUT owning a book!) to find the exact locations of places accepting the coupons in Anaheim.

But you don't have to buy the OC book at all. For those coming from places that don't have the books, if you're going to buy a book, just buy the cheapest book. I've noticed that the Arkansas book is fairly inexpensive compared to others.

And then there's the aspect of being able to just buy the card from ebay.

OP~ As the others have said, yes any Entertainment Book works. I buy the Vancouver one & have used it at the HoJo.

pigby~ I didn't find that there were many coupons in the Orange County Ent Book that came in handy restaurant wise for our trip (I bought it before I figured out that any one would work). There were some coupons for attractions that might come in handy if you plan on doing other things. I seem to recall there being a Knotts Berry Farm one, Universal Studios, maybe even a Seaworld one.....as well as Medieval Times & the pirate dinner one too. But yes, as Bumbershoot said, you can check out the locations online to see if it would be worth it for you. :)

I used my local Australian card and it wasn't an issue at all (although I did email them to check it would be OK first - I wanted to make sure rather than to rely on people on the internet!).
