WTHeck?

I thought that this was supposed to be a fairly quiet time of the year at DL??? Also, these are pretty well the only dates blocked out of the Entertainment Rates for the month of December other than Christmas of course.

Does anyone here have some insight into why things are so booked up?

This is a very popular place to stay, I'm really not surprised. We booked our stay this time more than 6 months in advance.

ETA: Also I think the CP is the 6th and 7th, that is usually a busy time.

sorry, have no idea on why those dates are booked, I booked for 18th-20th Dec back in July and got the Disney view then.

Perhaps those book up first as they are the most popular, so they may have other rooms still. I heard from the HoJo forum that you can also see the fireworks from the hottub and other places if thats why you want the Disney view.

If the Entertainment Book rate is not available at the HoJo for your dates, I personally would be tempted to stay at either the Desert Inn or Best Western Park Place, which are directly across the street from the front gates, or the Disneyland Hotel. With a baby, you probably want to stay as close as possible so you have easy access to get back to your room. Without the E rates, I'm not sure the HoJo is such a good deal....

Sorry...what does CP stand for?

CP is the Candlelight Procession, we'll be there 12/8-11 ~ staying @ HoJo's with the ent. rate (not a Disney view) I booked our room back in May/June.

Candlelight Processional.

We booked with the HoJo in Aug. or July? The ent. rate was available for those dates for quite a while. I think because you are so close, that those dates aren't available.

We are there Dec. 7-12.

So, for the one that have booked HOJO with the Ent. Rate for December for dates that are not open for the Ent. Rate does that mean that they are booked up enough to not be offering that now.... We are going Dec. 4-12 and are hoping to stay at HOJO with the Ent. Rate but nothing yet....

RuthieT ~

I suppose that when they offer the ent. rate only so many rooms are offered at that rate, once they book the amount available the ent. rate is no longer available.

So my question is.... was these dates once offered this year or have the dates not came up yet???

Yes, when I booked several months ago I was able to get 2 rooms @ the $59 ent rate for 12/8-12/11.

Grr.... So we probably missed our chance of booking with the Ent. Rate then for Dec. 4-12...:sad2:

I feel your pain Ruthie! Now I'm almost positive that I'm going to book at CCI. The free breakfast makes up the difference.

Just jumping in, I am staying at CCI Dec. 7-10 and when I was looking on their reservation page I clicked on See our specials. It took me to a new reservation page and in the promotion box it said DIS and it was $10 a night less for the room which is the same as the AAA discount. So if you book with CCI try doing that on their site and it might work.

have you ever stayed at Hojo queenbillabong? the only thing that BWPPI and DI have over hojo is the proximity to the crosswalk....even if I couldnt get the entertainment rate I would stay there...they have the heavenly beds and a much bigger property than either of the 2 you mentioned...it is one of the nicest if not the nicest moderate hotels in anaheim

hey disneymomma Im there at that time too:goodvibes

which is your opinion - mine, not so much.

All things being considered, price, distance, etc. - I would probably stick with something right at the crosswalk if I had an infant with me. If not, I would and have stayed further down as the hotels are hotels and not motels, much nicer IMO - just have to take a shuttle or ART (which is a bit more difficult with a baby).
