What size is the coffeemaker at Hojo? And do they supply an ample amount of filters (for a Washingtonian)??

Thanks in advance!!

By my standards: 1.5 cups, but I like my cups big. Seriously, if you have Disney Souvenir Mug, 1.5

If you ask the Mousekeeping, they will give you extra packages, which are all prefilter packages in each little bag.

It is really a 4 cup pot though.

McDonalds, just down the road has refillable coffee and it is at the condiments island with all the cream and whatnots.

Tried it once didn't like it went to Mimi's for better coffee.

Oh yeah it's a 4 cupper

Thank you!!

McDonalds coffee makes us gag. Something about it we don't like.

Thanks again! I figured it was a 4-cup maker. ]

We are bringing our own coffee to get our morning coffee fix (and afternoon coffee fix if we head back to the hotel to swim & relax - which right now we are planning on doing). I just wanted to make sure that I knew what size of coffeepot to expect. I figured it would be 4-cup size.

:)

The coffee pot seemed to suffice for my coffee addicted DBF while we were there, he drinks about 7 cups a day but downed it to 3 while we were in DL (THANK GOODNESS!)

He also said McDonald's coffee was going to make him vomit. I think he said something around the fact of it tasted as though it was filtered though a dirty sock! :rotfl2:

My friends put something like 8 packets of sugar and 5 creamers into hers when she got her coffee from McDonalds. Something they should really look into changing I guess!

I agree it's more like a 2 cup coffee pot. At this point, I also bring my own coffee, filters (they don't have any), and mugs (something about drinking out of styrofoam ruins the whole coffee ritual for me).

Well those measurements on coffee makers are based on a 6 oz cup anyway...yes I measured it on ours. :upsidedow

Doesn't McDs use Seattle's Best?

I don't bring my own coffee (my mom and stepdad always brought there own, and their grinder and other coffee necessities wherever they went, LOL) and I really can't drink most stuff hotels provide, and we use real half/half (not "creamer" b/c often that has HFCS or plain corn syrup, and my family can't consume those things)...so we just get out of the hotel room FAST and either go up for a "it's really hard to ruin it" iced latte from Starbucks or just get into the parks and have the same iced latte inside the parks. Disney has never ruined an iced latte (though Starbucks sure has!) for me yet.

Hello Fellow Washingtonian!

I too share a love/need/addiction to GOOD coffee.

My best advice, do not bother with making coffee at HoJo's.

We stayed at HoJo's in December and honestly it was B A D. Truly, my only complaint about HoJo's is the coffee. The coffee maker is tiny (maybe 2 cups) and even if we doubled the coffee it was still BLECH!

I am thinking of bringing our french press with us on this trip...I miss my coffee in the morning and I haven't found anything within walking distance "up to my standards." :confused3

We are bringing our own coffee (Millstone - combination of Columbia Blend & Hazelnut Creme) and filters. That should ensure that we have a good cup of coffee in the morning.

We tried to make coffee at Camelot in the room and the coffee they provided was only a slight step above Nescafe.

It was scary, but the coffee during the complimentary breakfast was the best we had the entire stay in California. Followed by Cafe Orleans and then IHOP.

DH doctors his up, but I take mine black. That is why we mix the Columbia with a bit of "foo foo" (as my dad would say) coffee.

I purchased filters and a coffee scoop to take with us today. It is already packed and in the suitcase with the coffee (cannot forget it!!).
