We just jumped on! We are staying for 2 nights in May, 14th and 15th. Entertainment rate was $54 a night. My MIL lives 15 minutes away but we figured it would be fun to stay a couple nights and give her a break for a couple nights as well. At that price it is well worth it!!!

Muwhaahaahaa! My evil plan to convert you all to the HoJo side is working! :lmao: :cool1:

How did you get that rate? :thumbsup2

Now AuntyJenn, you aren't keeping up with the class. Read the other HoJo threads on this page and you'll hear the whole dern story.

Or, just call the HoJo, request an Entertainment Book rate for your dates of stay, then buy yourself an Entertainment Book at entertainment.com. :thumbsup2

You should get some sort of comission.

Yeah, I keep telling Willie Simpson that (he's the Sales and Marketing Director). However, the kind of discounted business I keep sending to them isn't what they are most fond of! :rotfl:

I booked today also at HOJO got ent rate of 69 for a disney view room in December.

I kept reading about entertainment rates, but didn't know what they were or where to get them. I just now saw someone with a link (after I posted here of course) to the entertainment books (oh, its a coupon book. Some things seem so obvious if you already know them), but they all say they got $69 a night and Kellymom says she got $54. Does it depend on your dates? I'm actually booked at the Desert Inn because I wanted to be right accross the street, but I still have an open mind. I don't want to buy a coupon book if I'm not sure I'll use it. I guess I'll do more searches on the entertainment book.

O.K. I found a post about calling Ho Jo direct. I wasn't really paying attention to HoJo threads before because when I checked online they were out of my price range. Does any place else have super good rates in the entertainment book? (hotel is being my hardest decision so far. So many things to consider: distance, price, breakfast, niceness, pool, quietness, how many people you can stuff in a room....)

Sorry, Jenn, I wasn't trying to be rude, just funnin with ya! ;)

The HoJo Ent rates vary depending on type of room. The $54 rate is for a standard room (double/double, no view) and a deluxe room (queen/queen, no view). The $69 rate is for a premium view room (which are all queen/queen or king rooms in Bldg. 1 with a view of the park) or an Office room (all these rooms have microwaves). You can check out all the floorplans for these types of rooms here:

If you have any other questions about the HoJo let me know. We've stayed there a lot and I send all my friends there.

The entertainment book is a very good value if you live in or near a metro area. I get an immediate return on investment with the HoJo rates, but I also use the Safeway coupons (four $5 off coupons), movie theater discounts, fast food discounts (Burger King, Sonic, Taco Bell, etc), and museums with the kiddies (b1g1 free).

HTH!

When you purchase the entertainment book to use the rate for HOJO does it have to be the ent. book for the Anaheim area? Or is the HOJO discount in every entertainment book?

Thanks:)

No, it doesn't have to be the Anaheim Ent Book. Buy one for where you live, the Ent card is universal and will work for HoJo Anaheim.

DangerMouse,

Thank You I just purchased my book & was able to get the Entertainment 54.00 rate for 2 of the 4 nights that we'll be there. It still came out cheaper than the total cost at the Parkvue Inn (which I will cancel now ).:woohoo:

Hey! I grew up in Marysville!!! I graduated MPHS class of 1999!!! Hello there!!!

Is HoJo worth it, if, with the entertainment book coupon, it's $109? Thursday late September... Man $54 sounded good... :(

$109 wouldn't be the entertainment rate. Who quoted you that? That sounds more like a mousesaver rate or an AP rate. . .

Yes, it also depends on your dates. We called and tried for the week will be there and it wasn't as cheap.
