Can a 7 year old do the walking between DL and the Hojo as well as all the regular DL walking? I'm mostly thinking about the end of the day going back to the hotel. Does this sound manageable? I have one Maclaren Volo I am bringing for my 3 year old and may just get another for my 5 year old, since I am sure she'll poop out, but I am hoping that the 7 year old can manage the walk.

I am almost too pooped at the end of the day to walk back. But its manageable. Even for a 7 year old I think. But it would depend on your 7 year old.

We've stayed at the Hojo 3 different times and my ds (8 at the time) has never had a problem with it. He did complain a little on our last day heading back at night. But that was after 3 days of walking back and forth. All of us were hurting and tired.

I have found it's never a problem in the morning but as your trip goes on the coming back gets a little more difficult each night.

My 7yr DD did just fine. We were there for 4 days last November and we did rent a stroller for her in the park the last 2 days as she just pooped out with all the walking. But walking to/from the park from HoJo was fine.

DD is 7 and we just returned from a 4 day trip earlier this month. She walked the entire time at Disneyland and back and forth to the hotel. She complained a little on the last night, but did fine.

We did the same thing in 2008 when she was 6 and she did great then, too.

I would think a 7 y/o should be fine for the walk to/from the hotel. I guess if she is super tired at the end of the day someone could carry your 3 y/o and let the 7 y/o ride in the stroller on the way back to the hotel?

My 5 y/o does this walk just fine. After a few days, we do here a little whining, but not much.

We just returned from our trip to Cali, and stayed at the HoJo. The walk was pretty quick, it took us ~7-10minutes depending on the cross walk light. We had 1 umbrella stroller, and our 6 and 3.5 year old took turns riding while the other power walked with us (we don't make them keep up with our pace, typically they're in a light jog and we're trying to keep up!)

Anyways, they had no problems, even after a day in the park. I think you'll be OK with 1 stroller, especially if the 3yr old is light enough to scoop up if they both crash at the same time (ie the walk home). This was our 1st time w/ 1 stroller, and it was a very good move. Have fun!

We stayed @ HoJo last Dec. and DS8 did fine with the walk. I highly suggest bringing a stroller for your 5 year old, my DD (5 ~ will be 6 in July) sat in a Volo last Dec. and will next week ~ you don't have to use it all the time, take it to a land, park it and let her walk for a while if you'd like.

We stayed at HOJOs last June with my DDs 11, 8 and 5, and we used an umbrella stroller for the DD5 the whole walk to and from HOJOs every day. We also used it at DL. My DD8 begged my DD5 for turns in it especially on the way home at the end of the day, so my DH would put my DD5 on his shoulders and I'd let her take a turn in it. I would just get a cheapie umbrella stroller you wouldn't be worried about. It was fine as far as comfort goes and easy to maneuver in the turnstiles and elevators.
