HoJO and Entertainment rates?

I called today and was told that they don't give Entertainment rate in June, July and August. But on Entertainment site is told that discount valid anytime. Did somebody used that discount in June? What should i do?

Did you call the hotel directly or use their centeral reservations #? If you did use the centeral reservations #, I suggest calling the hotel directly.

Mention that THEIR coupon says avaiable anytime and that it is false advertising to not honor it.

And if all else fails, go to plan B.

We'll just miss staying in June. We will be at the HOJO 5/26-5/31/03. Actually made my reservations through Willie Simpson. I believe Willie is the marketing peson for the HOJO Anaheim. He was great and always so helpful. After I found out they were in the Entertainment book I e-mailed Willie and he gave me an Entertainment Book rate.

If you'd like I can send you Willie's e-mail address when I get home this evening. I feel safe dealing through Willie.

Yep, I called their direct line#. Called couple of other hotels - nobody gives 50% off rack rate!

All of the Entertainment rates are "subject to avalibility" so this is their loop hole to keeping rates high for the busy season.

mouseinfo.com has willie's e-mail address. Let him know you frequent web boards (I know he give discounts for mouseinfo and laughingplace.com) He will give you a price break if possible. Remember, summer is the peak season, so the discount may not be as much as off season/low season.

Check the website and book a room thru there, then e-mail Willie your conf. # and last name. This is what I did and he was able to give me a lower price and a room upgrade, but we are going the last week in August (just before Labor Day), so it's a slower time of the summer.

I have to agree with the above posters, Willie is Awesome. He got me a better rate for end of July-begining of August. Do what Sonya said, you book through the hotel, or online (either way, it doesn't matter) then email Willie with the confirmation no. and he will bend over backwards to get you a better deal. As a matter of fact, I also read about the Entertainment rates and emailed him directly and he also told me they don't honor it on the summer months, but he sure came through for me. We do offer the Entertainment rate of $45/nt during expected lower occupancy seasons (including the first part of June). During peak seasons, the Entertainment rate is 10% off of our regular rate. Usually, our "Best Available Rate" is lower than this 10% discount. I hope this helps!
