I am staying at the HoJo in September and I was wondering what the mattresses are like in Building 1. We are staying in one of the double queen rooms that faces the freeway.

I have read that the deluxe rooms have nice pillowtop mattresses, but I don't know how comfortable the mattresses are in the standard rooms in building 1.

Has anybody stayed there recently? Could you give me a review of the mattresses? Hard/Soft/Comfortable/Etc.??

Thank you!!

We stayed in building 1 (6th floor) facing the freeway earlier this month. Standard 2 Queen room. The beds did have pillowtop mattresses and were quite comfortable. Enjoy your trip!

Thanks for the quick replies. I was not sure if the pillowtop beds were in the standard rooms -- so it is good to hear that they are!

I am laying on one right now. It is a pillow top. Room 1214. No freeway noise either.

Have a great time!!!

Is the freeway noise loud, and is the hotel fairly quiet in general? Is one building quieter and nicer than the other? Is the standard rooms fairly updated?
Thanks!

Hi There!

All of our beds have pillow toppers and ever since we added sound proof windows to all our rooms facing the highway (expect the top floor), the rooms are very quiet. Haven’t heard complaints about the noise yet. :thumbsup2

We are always working on ways to keep the rooms updated. We are a currently working on updating all of our rooms to have flat screen TVs! Many rooms in our tower building (building 1) already have these installed and are looking quite nice. We are also in the process of revamping our Standard Double rooms (building 3-6). When complete, these rooms will have new paint, new carpet, and even some art by Mary Blair. Two of these buildings are almost done!

Hope this helps!
