We have stayed twice at HOJO once Disneyview...never again highway noise is way too loud ... and once pool view. We did like the pool view , the walk in the morning I have a spring in my step but at night it seems soooooo far way. But no real complaints about HOJO, dated but clean.

We need room for 7, I cannot as of yet get retro rate for all of my dates at the HOJO 3 of 9 right now.

From what I have seen and reviews I have read Camelot has me intrigued; we would be looking at the Deluxe One Bedroom Family Suite.

Free breakfast is irrelevant to me so a non issue as we won't use it. (Food Allergies)

Has anyone stayed in this suite? can you share your experience? I gather all the rooms here are motel style? do you hear the noise from the parking lot? Do these rooms face disneyland or the parking lot or the other way?

Thanks

pooh:My husband and I stayed at the Camelot back in 2007, loved the hotel we just had a standard queen rm. Loved the pool on the roof especially during the fireworks. However the main reason why I would never go back was the hard beds, they were awful, so unless they updated their beds I would not be going back, to me beds are a deal breaker especially after a long day at DL. That is the main reason we have been staying at the HOJO since, love love their beds! :pooh:

i stayed in a camelot suite in april of 2009 i really enjoyed it. It ws dated but very clean. The beds were not the softest but after walking in the parks we still slept good. The main room has your pullout sofa( which is not that comfy) and a coffee table and then the bed and tv and then it has a table and chairs set. Then you go through a door for the next room which has 2 beds and a tv and the bathroom. The bathroom aint that big and the door is heavy. We heard people walking outside and some highway noise but it wasn't bad. To my knowledge though it fits up to 6 people and so does the suite at park vue. The contenental breakfast was in a tiny room and it had pastries and juice and coffee, not much but its something, they also had hot cocoa. The pool was very chilly but it was good. When we stayed we got a awesome deal but to my knowledge it is over $200 a night now.
Oh and ours we could see fairfield inns roof with the mickey painted on it. I don't remember if any faced disney

Another option is desert inn and suites. They have adjoining rooms with a sep. tv room for around 180. This is our choice hotel. Their largest suite has 2 rooms with 2 queens, 2 full baths, and a room in the entry with a tv and pull out couch. It is so close to the entrance which is nice after a long day.

I Did look at the desert inn last night and will look at it a bit further. I did not realize that the Camelot suite only had one bathroom! That will not do. I have read the desert in mattresses are harsh though, so not sure what to think...
