Professor Smith: Professor Smith muttered a message and then the incantation, and soon the silvery lion was bounding away.

Professor Black: Melanie, having given up trying to produce a patronus in the horrid mess, walked swiftly and purposefully down the hall to Professor Jay's office. She muttered the password and walked in. "I'm afraid we have more bad news, professor," she said, and told her about the minister who was to be coming and the attacks. "We're certain we know it's her-I believe the school needs more protection, although I believe Evan already went that course. You already know, though, that it's very likely she is still in the school grounds. We've got the injured students in the hospital wing and the rest are secure in their dormitories."
Evan's patronus came in requesting her appearance in the hospital wing, but she waited to hear what Jezebel had to say first.

Jezebel: Jezebel had crunched up papers around her desk, and was currently writing with her peacock quill and piece of parchment. Jezebel had been trying to word out her thoughts in a letter to the Minister. She looked up at Professor Black. "The Minister is coming?" She closed her eyes, trying to calm herself. When she opened them, she made herself feel like adrenaline was pumping through her. She stood. "Very well," she said. "I will be putting protective spells around the castle," she said. She slightly jumped at the sight of the Patronus, she probably would never get used to a silver lion bounding into her office. "You should probably get to that," she said, walking over to the exit. "Thank you for securing the students," she added. She exited the office and quickly walked, taking long, swift strides down the halls of the school. She reached the Entrance Hall, where a tall black door with multiple locks and spells loomed. She waved her wand, murmuring every spell she knew, but thinking of a small hole in the protection spells for the Minister to enter the school ground. Nobody else. Lights appeared from her wand, shooting out and into the door, then dissolving. She heard a voice and turned, facing a pale ghost body, a serene lady. "Hello, Madam Albright," she said. "I don't want to be a bother, but I need you to send a message to the other ghosts, if you don't mind. Simply tell them to report any students out of bed. I understand I do not usually have the respected ghosts of the castle run errands, but it has become a little serious." The ghost nodded slowly, and then she drifted away, out of sight.

OOC That was looooooooong. Yeah I'm bored :p

Professor Smith: Professor Smith sat near the two beds that held Veronica Spencer and Jackson Finch. Both were so different from the other, Evan wondered how they could have been in the same explosion. Veronica was a sixth year Slytherin, with dark blonde or light brown hair down to her waist. She was very determined to become a healer, ironically now she needed the healing. Jackson was a third year Ravenclaw, with dark hair. He was bright and smart, but very shy. He knew this was no accident.

Professor Linus: He had felt a little better. It was nearly two in the morning now. He marched into the infirmary and saw Evan. "I'm glad to see that somebody is actually protecting our students."

Minister of Magic Ricardo Noel: He had been awoken by his secretary and was rushed a letter that was sent by his Hogwarts watch lady Laurel Thatcher. His presence was needed immediately, it could not even wait until the morning. Ricardo called for his two most trusted security members, Marcus and Ben. "We are off to Hogwarts my friends." As they were both squibs, he had them hold onto his cloak as they apparated.

Professor Smith: "Good evening Mikial. At this moment, Melanie is attempting to look into the situation. I've been doing my best I suppose, before I came down to the scene and found Veronica and Jackson I managed to escort some lost transfer students to the Gryffindor common room. I swear, I don't think we've had such a rough first day since Melanie and I were in school."

Professor Linus: "I agree with you there. You would think we were at war again. It feels like that again doesn't it?" He stopped at this, because Mikial remembered back in the wizarding war which side he ended up on, how many people he secretly murdered for the Dark Lord. The pain and suffering that he put onto people. "I am so beat up after all of these events. I'm sure that Melanie has told you about hers and mine little field trip? It was rough. But the men and women who died didn't deserve a second chance anyway. Did you know that Lucius Malfoy was still in Azkaban? He won't ever harm anyone again, that's for sure." Three men appeared in the infirmary. It was Minister Noel, and what must have been his security.

Minister Ricardo Noel: "Good evening professors, do you have any idea where the headmistress is at?"

Professor Smith: For once, Professor Evan Smith looked sober and solemn. "Aye, the war was terrible. It feels so much like the war. I remember most of it, and I still wish every day I didn't. My little sister, Christine, who was only a few years younger than me you know, died in my arms." Evan had never revealed the particulars of young Christine Smith's death or how it happened to his colleagues, not even to Jezebel Jay or Melanie Black, though it haunted him in his sleep every night. It was partly why he attempted to be as immature as he was in school, to chase away the memories. Everyone had loved Christine, she was charming, sweet, and kind to everyone, and always was punctual in every way and in short not much like her brother at all. Professor Linus would be able to notice a painful and depressing gleam in Evan's eyes, making him look haunted. Evan blamed himself entirely for Christine's death. He should have been able to stop it.

As the Prime Minister came in, Evan put up his wall of professionalism. "You might check her office, but I haven't seen the Headmistress since dinner."

Jane: She ran to the common room, only to be stopped by Moaning Myrtle. " Myrtle, please let me by! I'm your only friend. I'm just going to my common room now."

Myrtle: " Fine, you have a point."

Jane: " Thank you! I'll visit you tomorrow- and I'll bring friends!"

Linus: "I apologize Evan. I didn't know." He was startled by the PM's arrival. "She is pretty busy, we can help you though. Evan can you please tell Ricardo about our days events."

Professor Smith: Evan flicked a glance of appreciation at Mikial for the distraction and jumped into the story of the day's events, telling them as best as he could and being careful not to make things seem too dramatic. As he told the story he was vaguely aware that quite a few things had happened, but Evan didn't let it distract him and make him drift off in thought, or worse, lead him off in a tangent. When he was finished, he glanced back at Veronica and Jackson to check on them, then turned back to the minister and his men.

Minister Ricardo Noel: "My word. This school should not be allowed to remain open. I must say that. Professor Linus you are also on my radar. Be aware. Changes will be coming to Hogwarts." He stormed out.

Linus: "Bloody fantastic."

Prof. Smith: "I think they're over reacting somewhat. Sure things are bad, but they were worse during my years and during the war! And anyway, they're the ministry but they can't actually dictate anything in the school, the only people who can are us professors and maybe the board of governors. It would be illegal for them to stick their nose in."

Prof. Smith: "If she does what they want, she won't have a job. If they close us, none of us will, and if they replace her she still won't have a job. And you might be getting the sack soon as well," Evan agreed darkly.

Professor Black: Melanie rushed to the hospital wing. "If anyone wanted to keep their job, they would have turned the school in by now. I know things were worse, though we had Dumbledore. No one dared touch the school with him in position.Oh, and I am sorry I've been a while, I was speaking to the headmistress." she thought for a moment, then added: "I thought I heard the minister on his way out. Does he really think he could do any better? Personally, I believe we'd be in more danger with him than Professor Jay. The things they do to keep their jobs," she muttered to herself."She scanned the room and, after a moment, turned to Professor Smith. "Evan," she started, thoroughly concerned, "are you okay?" She wondered if this was what he looked like when she had left. Suddenly Melanie felt dreadful for it; she knew she had been practical, although it was a bit of a death prediction on parchment. But she was back-she was alive, at least for
the moment. She couldn't help but feel sorrow for him, and whatever it was that he was upset about. Melanie never saw him looking so terrible.

Nurse Osborn: Nurse Osborn was silently working on her patients when the Minister arrived, not even looking at him, butterflies fluttering in her stomach. When he left, she sighed with relief. Seems someone was in a bad mood. When she was finished, she stood back. The two students were now in a calm, dreamless sleep, it had looked like they'd need it. They could be awakening any minute now. Nurse Osborn glanced at the Professors. "Professors, I must insist you go somewhere else, these students need peace and quiet!"

OOC Okay, should we move on to the next day or wait until all the Professors have finished their conversations?

Prof. Linus: He glared at Evan. "Then we fight back. We fight. I realize I'm getting sacked, and I am not going out quietly."

Prof. Smith: Evan nodded slowly, a mischievous smile slowly creeping onto his face. "What did you have in mind?"

Prof. Smith: Evan snapped back to the present. He had been seeing ghosts again, of course not literally, but in his memory. "What? Oh, um, I'm all right. I'm sorry, you don't need to worry, I'm fine."

OOC: And I think that's it.

OOC: yeah.
Professor Black: Melanie didn't believe him, but gave him his privacy. "I think we should search the grounds tomorrow-every inch of them." She said, since that night's investigation had been cut extremely short. She turned and followed Smith out.

OOC: Okay Cindy, now we can move on to the next day.
