OOC: Is it time for class? And what are we having?

Veronica: Veronica checked the old pocket watch she had in her bag. It was getting close to the end of breakfast. With a sigh, she put a bookmark in her novel and packed her things. She gathered them up and walked to class, hoping to get there before everyone else did.

OOC DADA, but I need to go, can you play the teacher? I was supposed to but I have softball soon and need to find my uniform, back in 20 min

OOC: Sure.

Professor Linus: Professor Linus was all set up for his Defense Against the Dark Arts class. He had preferred not to eat breakfast with the other teachers, instead he had it in his own office. Now he waited for his students, some of which he knew would be late. Students these days were never prompt.

Brielle opened the door to DADA. "Great." She thought sarcastically. "First one here."

Veronica: Veronica slipped in quietly behind the girl who spoke, not making a noise. Veronica had learned to ghost along as a kid, and could move silently when she wanted to. The sixth year found a desk, knowing the desks around it would remain empty with rejection. Being here in Linus' class reminded her of her agreement, and she hoped it wouldn't tarnish her year too badly.

Lucas: Lucas finished eating and got up. He bade goodbye to his friends and walked to class. He had calmed down somewhat, though he wasn't sure what to do about it now. Luke pushed it out of his head. There would be time to worry later.

Cindy: Lucinda walked into class, sitting in the back. She looked at the Professor, waiting for class to begin.

Vanessa: Vanessa walked into class and headed for the back. She looked at a Gryffindor who was in her seat. "Park it somewhere else, shrimp," she snapped loudly.

Cindy: Cindy looked up at the Slytherin girl. Vanessa, again. She didn't say anything as butterflies flew in her stomach. She felt sick. Cindy was actually scared of this girl.

Jackson: He walked into class and sat in the front by himself.

Lucas: Lucas walked towards the classroom and stepped inside. He grabbed a seat in the middle of the room. Luke was plenty smart, she just didn't like being called on to answer questions, and the middle of the room provided a certain anonymity.

Veronica: Veronica noticed that the seats around her were still left empty, and wasn't the least bit surprised. She set up her materials; she got out her quill and inkwell, her DADA textbook she had gotten at Diagon Alley this summer, some parchment, and her wand. She wasn't sure whether this would be a practical lesson (performing and practicing spells) or theoretical (learning from notes and the book), so she decided to be prepared for both.

Jackson: I'm alright. DADA has always been my strongest class, so I'm excited. How about you?"

Professor Linus: He cleared his throat, I'm sure that we have some students who are running late so we will wait a few more minutes for them to arrive. Just keep quiet." He disappeared into his office.

Veronica: "I'm okay. I guess I'm pretty good at this class, but there are a few others I'm pretty good at too." She didn't want to sound like she was bragging, but she had always dreamed of being a healer, so she worked hard and was good at classes like Herbology and Potions, which were required in order to go into healing.

If you've had me before this will be easy. I have had a tenuous and interesting career. Name two facts or rumors that you have heard about me. 5 minutes. Begin." He sat on his desk and pulled out a flask. He poured a clear liquid into it and shivered while he drank it.

Gab: Gabrielle, who was sitting alone in a corner took out a piece of paper and scribbled on it with a quill. She wasn't a gossip, but everyone knew at least three odd rumors about Linus. She looked to see Jackson sitting next to that slytherin. She's gonna get him in trouble, I just know it.

Veronica: Veronica was in Linus' house, if anyone knew a lot about him it would be the Slytherins. She scrawled down a few things she had heard, her very long hair falling all around her face and all around the desk like a dark blonde curtain.

Lucas: Lucas had to think for a minute, but he had had Professor Linus for five years now, so it was pretty simple to come up with some things for this pop quiz. Luke liked when he could get easy grades in here. He was much better at Charms and Transfiguration.

Jackson: He looked towards the corner and saw Gab shoot him an unapproving look. He felt guilty.

Veronica: Veronica turned pale. She would volunteer for answers occasionally, but she absolutely hated being called on. She coughed a little to clear her throat and read, "Well, I heard from a few sources that you give the worst detentions in school," that one had been from Professor Smith, but then he would know. "And I also heard once that you know where the Chamber of Secrets is." She thought she might get in trouble about the last part, people didn't usually talk about the Chamber of Secrets. She said this very nervously, and so it didn't sound like she was eager to find the chamber.
