Professor Black: Melanie was overwhelming with emotion. Surely Linus had lied to her mother, and, being who she was, she could have never fallen in love with a death eater for a time. She fell in love with a lie.
At the same time, Melanie didn't hate Linus. She knew death eaters, and she knew that a true one couldn't produce a patronus. For a moment, Melanie wondered about Snape and if he had known about this, having experienced some of the same type of emotions.
And then there was Melanie. Sweet, loving and soft Melanie who had come to Hogwarts 18 years before and was sorted into Gryffindor. She wasn't afraid to speak her mind, but she wasn't quite as outgoing as Evan had been. That Melanie had been despised by-or so it seemed-by Professor Linus, who's classes she hated. Had he only been covering himself, or was he really only biding his time, waiting for the dark lord? Was it possible that he could have loved her then?
If Linus was still alive, she could have asked him these things, and if her mother was, even more.
All these things rushed through her head as she rushed back through the corridors and to the Ravenclaw common room, where the battle continued.
OOC: Hate to continue playing with Evan's emotions, but I can't have him seeing Mel yet. I've got exciting plans for this (if it works out).
BK228: Okay, though I will let you know that Mel's going to get revenge her way.( It'll hopefully be a fulfilling step in character development.)
