Melanie: "He was struggling before he met you." She spoke quietly. "He was upset with me for not talking him in, something I should have done years ago. He was already somewhere between good and evil, I wasn't sure what to do. He got worse when you came along, but then became better. You've helped him."

Lannie: she walked over to a boy who looked like he was around her age. "H-hi. I'm Lannie. Could you help me with this spell? You seem to be really good at it."
