Cian: He went into Melanie Black's old office and changed the name on the door. As he stepped in he noticed how very much the items reflected the professor. The papers on the desk still hadn't been moved, and there was a quill with fresh ink. The girl must not have died very long ago. The bed looked as if it hadn't been slept in for quite a while and a wand laid on it, as if it had been thrown there when she had been rushing. The last item was set up against the wall, the plug still in the wall from playing. There was a piece of music set up titled "Think of Me" from Phantom of the Opera. It was, no doubt, only a way to take pity on herself. He began opening Melanie's desk drawers. Some had ink, quills, and other necessities; in others there were teaching manuals that had been written all over and, in some places, changed to fit her liking-she was just as arrogant as he suspected. In one last drawer there contained a number of letters, objects, and a few dated photographs that were taken at Hogwarts more than fifteen years ago, perhaps when the girl was in school. He pulled the letters out and read a few, then tossing them into a trash bag. She had been so full of herself to make up stories so others would pity her. It looked as if most of the letters had been from an Evan Smith, possibly his new colleague. He rolled his eyes and tossed them into a trash bag and set it on the ground. The ministry might appreciate the letters, and he thought he might be able to sell the keyboard, though he hadn't touched it yet.
