Hogwarts RP part eight.

Lori: Lori sat down in her common room, all of the eyes on her. She then walked over to one of her old friends with a smile on her face.

Friend: The girl looked at Lori, recognizing her the instant she saw her. She turned away to talk with her best friend.

Lori: Lori felt a little heartbroken, after all they were kind of best friends before she died. She timidly tapped her former friend on her shoulder.

Friend: "What do you want? Who are you?"

Lori: "My name is Lori. We were friends."

Friend: "I don't even know who you are," she lied.

Lori: "I died first year. Now I'm okay."

OOC: that's cool, Nessie! (That's your official new name)

Mari: their drinks came. "Do you want a sip of firewhiskey, love? It makes you brave and more confident." She smiled and took a sip, feeling the tingling of the fiery liquid in her throat.

Chris: "No thanks, honey."

OOC: Woohoo a nickname! *cheers*

Chris: "No thanks, honey."

OOC: Woohoo a nickname! *cheers*

Mari: "Oh, okay." She frowned slightly and took another sip. "Chrissy, I'm not sure we ever officially got together, it just sorta happened." She smiled.

OOC: Okay, I know you probably won't care about this, but I found out something interesting about my characters over the course of these RPs so far.

Tori:
Then~ She was going to be the one friend who would have no real problems of her own and try to help the others who were going through a series of stress.
Now~ Tori has so much going on in her life because she is dating Ivan. She has to deal with the possibility of dying from one of his freaky relatives (cough cough Phyllis cough cough) and she has to make her best friend remember.

Bass:
Then~ He was originally planned to only be comic relief and to be funny in dangerous situations.
Now~ Bass has evolved into a really strong character. He has taken what was supposed to be Tori's place and has decided to help others with their problems even though he has no real problems of his own. Now he has lost his memory and things could be interesting depending what route I want to choose for him.

Chris:
Then~ Chris was originally intended to be the villain and the one who can't really have any love.
Now~ Chris has matured so much throughout the course of this RP it's scary. He came back to life after dying and has gone through a lot in terms of dating. He protects his sister even at the cost of his life (battle) and he just doesn't want to lose anyone he cares about.

Ivan:
Then~ Ivan was the contrast to Chris and pretty much his only purpose was to date Tori.
Now~ Geez Ivan has evolved a lot in terms of mentality. He is smarter than he appears and is always thinking ahead of his opponent. He has a lot of secrets and he will go to all extremes necessary to protect his siblings even if he doesn't want to admit it 99% of the time.

Lori:
Then~ She was originally supposed to be a ghost and to only show up whenever we needed something to learn about Chris.
Now~ She still needs some development. I'm really excited to really explore how she feels now that her friends have grown up without her and she's basically on her own. She has to repeat a year she already half knows and I think it will be interesting because she actually can be mature for her age but still act like a little kid.

Phyllis:
Then~ She wasn't really going to be used.
Now~ She is going to be fun but terrifying at the same time. I am thinking about making her more developed and a lot more stand out as a character. I have to of course figure out a way to do this and hopefully she will be fun to play.

Sheila:
Then~ Sheila wasn't really much of a thought and wasn't going to be used in the RP.
Now~ It is interesting having Sheila having a short bit of weakness. I am still working on developing her and I am really looking forward to writing for her at times. She could be this really evil person like her sister and it's actually a situation where she is merely doing what her sister tells her to because she doesn't want to end up in a bad place.

OOC: This is really interesting. I think we should all do this for our characters.

Georgie: "J-Just so you know, E-Evan, I-I p-put Li-Lily to bed. S-sorry if I go cuckoo again." Her eyes dilated and she started laughing. OOC: one thing I love about Georgie's character. She's going crazy and the thing she decides to tell Evan is that Lily's in bed.

Georgie: "H-help me..." She whispered. She trembled. "C-can you tell Lily I'm alright?"

Veronica:
Then: She was supposed to be the girl who liked to heal but more importantly the lonely one, the one Slytherin with ethics, integrity, and didn't care about blood status, who was a hatstall and only there for her ambition. She was supposed to be the outcast, the one who didn't have any friends.
Now: She is now very passionate about healing, she lives for it, it's the big of her life. She is now very loving, very devoted. She is the girl that everyone knows and admires her reputation. She's kind of the go-to older character for advice, the one who's got a clear head when everyone else is going crazy. Her love for Alexei has grown her own self-acceptance, and shown her that she does indeed have people who liked her.

Lucas:
Then: Luke was meant to be that one kid who everyone knows is obsessed with quidditch and yet is unsure why he is a prefect. He was also supposed to be a Hufflepuff since there weren't a lot if any.
Now: Well, Luke's need for speed and obsession with quidditch has not changed much. However he's become a whole lot more than just an athlete. He has become the poster child for orphans and godchildren. Further more, he seems to be the brave and protective Hufflepuff, the "looking after their own" kind. He has also become some of my characters' best friend.

Isabella:
Then: Back then, she was Ivy Dorielle Antoinette de la Noir Scott, and she was supposed to be the incredibly shy and incredibly intelligent one, who hid behind her friends, had problems with being called a mudblood and was not that interested in being a lady as much as Beauxbatons wanted her to be.
Now: She's really come into her own as far as confidence and shyness is concerned. Her family and heritage also grew a lot. She does however appear to be much less brilliant than shew really is, which I need to fix, and has a darker, grumpier, negative, more sarcastic side that I did not intend for her to have. I do however like how she got into quidditch.

Alexei:
Then: I pretty much just created him because I wanted someone who wasn't British or French, a Gryffindor and so we could have an exchange student from Durmstrang. He was meant to be adventurous.
Now: Alexei has expanded greatly as a character. There are still some parts of him that I don't really know about, but he has shown himself as a nice, brave, caring person. He's a Russian American but still fits in. He cares deeply about the things he loves, including Anya and Veronica. I should have made him a lot more adventurous like I wanted but I haven't really had the opportunity yet. I do like that he's an athlete as well.

Anya:
Then: Anya was created so Alexei could have something to fight for in that world takeover (was that the first or second one?)
Now: Anya grew a whole lot too. She's kind of taken a mix of Veronica's and Isabella's intended places. She's quiet and known but doesn't really fit in or have friends over her own, she just kind of hangs around her brother and his friends (I think Anya and Lori would get along). She seems to have the little girl innocence and older brother adoration that I was going for, she's sweet and kind, she's almost angelic.

David:
Then: He was just meant to give Veronica some family since she was an only child.
Now: He's really not expanded very much beyond that, I should make him grow a lot more but I have zero inspirartion for him usually. He does have a hobby, painting, and a history, and he did just get his parents back though.

Remy and Eddie are not old or different enough to do this for.

Evan Smith:
Then: He was just supposed to be that funny prankster teacher that everyone likes but all in all was not supposed to be a major part of the thread.
Now: Um, that is not what happened at all. He is the funny prankster teacher that most people like. However he's got history, family, personal issues, has adopted one of my characters and has a fiance. He has changed so much he's easily on of my most developed characters, and I never intended him to be. I blame Melanie and Georgie as the primary reasons why this is.

Morgan Claybourne:
Then: She was meant to be a former healer, friend of Harriet or Jay and an inspiration/mentor to Veronica.
Now: She hasn't developed much but she has developed. She has a snappy side when she gets angry, can be strict even. She seems to be pretty helpful but still pretty background. She doesn't have much of a connection to Veronica, she really should though. I just gave her a bit of a past, which ois good.

Darius Roric:
Then: He was just meant to be Luke's godfather the auror, popping in occasionally when the professors needed him.
Now: His past is very developed and it and his destiny intertwines closely with Luke's. He has become similar to Evan and a close friend of Evan, he's become more of his own person.

OOC: Goodness. The only one I knew was Nagini meant snake.

OOC: Sirius Black of course, or mor accurately Sirius, is the name of an actual star, it means Dog Star, which is probably why his animagus form is a grim, which is a black dog.

OOC: my goodness. I think I'm going to curl up in some corner somewhere. JK Rowling is a genius.

Chris: Chris thought about this for a minute, then took a sip of his water and gave Mari a kiss on the cheek. He said, "I agree that it just happened unexpectedly, so perhaps we should do something fun to make it official."

Mari: she smiled. "Like what?"

Phyllis: She took a sip of water as she looked at Bass. She said, "I assume you want me to tell you something. The question is what."

Bass: Bass pointed his wand at her as he watched her. He said, "I want to know everything you have done. All of your information."

Phyllis: "That's brave. How do you know that I will give you said information?"

Bass: "I know. How else will you skip on your merry little way?"

Phyllis: "Even though your memory is gone, you are more clever than I would have guessed. Tell me what you want to know."

Bass: "I know when you're lying, now I want you to tell me where you are keeping the girl I was kidnapped with. There was a woman who kidnapped the both of us."

Phyllis: She sneered. Phyllis replied, "It's always nice to be talked about."

Phyllis: "If you must know, the girl's gone. Some psycho snatched her."

Bass: "I reckon she's good, if that's true. But I am unconvinced."

Phyllis: "It's the darn truth, you should know. You were helping her."

Bass: Bass tried to remember what had happened. He said, "I don't-"

Phyllis: Phyllis interrupted him by holding up her hand. She replied, "You did."

Bass: "And just how do you know this?"

Phyllis: Phyllis had to come up with something quick. Phyllis said, "I'm brilliant."

Harriet: she frowned and thought for a minute. "Yes, I suppose I could make some changes in the staff." She picked up her notebook and wrote down 'fire Cian once you can find a better teacher'.

Cian: "I would expect a much more professional personality, Harriet. You are not at all what this school needs."

OOC:

Gabrielle:

Then: Gabrielle McLee was supposed to be that happy, peppy, geeky girl who was like all of my original rp characters.
Now: hmm, where to start. Okay. Gabrielle McLee/Xavier/Finch/Black has so many issues. She was bitten by a werewolf, and has grown to accept, then actually enjoy it, her boyfriend is always in danger, and that takes a toll on her. She never goes to class, and the most important thing to her now is the safety of Jackson.

Nagini:
Then: Supposed to be evil, heartless, manipulative, and hated by everyone. And that was indeed the case for some time.
Now: Nagini Heartman/Lestrange's life was changed by her brother, Melanie, and Joey. She realized that she truly did want to be good and had enough power to get through all of her problems, including fighting the woman who gave birth to her and who put a horcrux in her head. She has serious psychological issues now and Melanie's death isn't exactly helping.

Jolie:
Then: she was supposed to be this loner, shy girl who was pretty much an excuse for me to get a transfer student, I doubted she'd interact with anyone.
Now: Well, she is messed up too. She killed herself twice, and was in love with two guys at the same time. She thinks her brother hates her because she is with Jean Pierre and feels like a failure all the time.

Harriet:
Then: a nice Transfiguration teacher who was funny and was just there to be a teacher.
Now: she is pretty much my comic relief when Georgie is having issues (a lot). She hasn't had many traumatic things happen to change her, but she was forced into the position of headmistress, taken to azkaban, and her husband came back from the dead. She could still use developing.

Georgie:
Then: Just there for Luke's heritage to be revealed. Supposed to be clumsy, funny, and kind.
Now: (Oh gosh, here we go) She is crazy. That's all I have to put. Crazy, insane, and schizophrenic. She has a terribly low self esteem and still has no idea why Evan would chose to be with her. She is still kind and klutzy and hopefully still funny, but when she has her episodes that all changes and in her mind she becomes morose and depressed and absolutely hates herself for not being able to control herself. It seems that the more happens to her the crazier she gets. But, it is oh so fun playing her.

Lori: Lori walked back up to her friend, trying to get her to recognize the girl she knew. She said, "I'm not a creepy little first year. My name is Lorelei Kimberly Minor, third child of Marie Minor."

Friend: The girl looked back at the fellow Ravenclaws, absolutely terrified by this weird first year. She said, "I don't even know who you are. I'm sure you are just confused, which is what a lot of first years are feeling."

Lori: "I'm not confused. I know you. We were best friends."

Friend: "The poor baby. All that work. It must be exhausting."

Lori: Lori was feeling angry. "I know you!"
