Alexei: Alexei ate his breakfast. He was still unnerved by the way the food just appeared, even with Nica's teasing grin. Yes, he still called her Nica, but they were his thoughts, not hers, and he still believed Nica was a much nicer nickname than Nic.

Veronica: Veronica ate her breakfast. She knew she had made the right choice, but she appeared to be suffering from the consequences of that decision. People were staring at her, she could feel there eyes on her back.
