Hogwarts RP part 10

The Villianess said:
OOC: I absolutely adore it, so much has happened to Melanie and I think this illustrates that perfectly. So much meaning within it, great job I could never do something like that.

OOC: my thoughts

Lannie: She worked diligently, finally finishing her tests. She let out a soft sigh of relief.

Georgie: Once Phyllis had to go take her test she walked into Melanie's office quietly and sat down, tears running down her face. She was going to miss her so much, but she was so, so proud.

OOC: Here's a little view into my mind: I get on the computer to download a polyvore for safekeeping, and end up putting together a slide show with every character's on it.

OOC: Wow.

OOC: Yup.

Does anyone else feel like they're not going to like their next set of characters as much?

OOC: Oh yeah.

Gabrielle: "When do you think Jackson will be done with testing?"

Nagini: She shrugged. She was feeding her baby again.

Georgie: She apparated to Corbin. "Hi, honey." She kissed him. "I had to get some things off my chest and say goodbye to Phyllis. She got me a journal." She sat down next to him and snuggled against him.

OOC: I mean, I've worked out five characters-probably won't use them all-but I'm just not feeling motivation to develop them.

OOC: There are just so many feels put into these ones.

OOC: Yes, that's true, and I know I'll never be able to make one as good as Mel, but I don't think they're going to be interesting enough.

Edit: True, Wings. That's a good point

OOC: I'm just asking you to try.

I know you're all a little resentful because it appears like I'm pushing this ending, but really I'm just trying to point out positives since you all seem to be so depressed.

As for feels, when characters give me enough sadness, I find it refreshing, a weight off my shoulders to take a break from them.

OOC: I mean, there are a few characters of mine that I think of like the children I'll never have, since I put so much time and effort and emotion into them. I feel like I have a connection to them.

I don't feel that with anyone in this thread, although I'm most touched by Luke and Veronica out of all of them. It's always the originals.

OOC: I can assure you that I will.

OOC: I don't feel that I have many connections with any of my students, but Holly is the most like me. She's more outgoing than I am, but she has a part of my personality that I didn't intend to give her.

Melanie, on the other hand, is an entirely different story. I know her as a child and adult, and I particularly feel that, as a child especially, she is like a daughter. I know I've mentioned this before, but she has been around in some shape or form for years, although it was only several months later that I visited the idea again. She's the one character I didn't even have to try to develop, as I spent time on countless occasions developing her out of boredom and the lack of being able to sleep. I think my connection lies with her in a way I also didn't intend, in a way that is sort of personal. I didn't expect to have that there, but it is, which is strange because experience-wise we are complete opposites. Mel has many traits I admire in one shape or form, as well, which makes her fun for me to visit, especially now that she's not so depressing. But there are reasons I sometimes became a little stressed out over her.

OOC: You can tell when I get attached to my characters. They're actually the ones who have the worst things happen to them, because they are so developed. Like Gabrielle, Georgie, Jolie, and Nagini.
