Hogwarts RP part 10

Georgie: she apparated to Mel and snatched the note. "Corbin said you were hiding something." She quickly skimmed the letter and looked down, her hands shaking. "So this is how you feel?"

Melanie: "That was fifteen years ago, Georgie. Let it be." Her face was entirely bloodless.

Georgie: "Then why do you still have the note? I-I knew it. I knew it all along." Tears welled up in her eyes.

Melanie: She was indeed very upset, though a loss for words prevented any reaction.

Georgie: "H-he-a-and you-you played us. You both played us! I can't believe-" she sighed and lowered her head. "I can't believe I was so stupid. You two were each other's best friends. I was always the third wheel. I can't believe I thought that could change, that I could be finally accepted after all these years. Well, that just proves how much of a bloody idiot I am."

OOC: Oh, gosh. How to word this...

Melanie: She was upset that Georgie was hurt. "You believe I would truly put him in that danger...I attempted to abandon it, Georgie. You just-you haven't any idea...You believe, after how many times...I didn't play him. I tried to conceal it, to forget. I locked it up for fifteen years. And then you came along, and I noticed how happy he was. At the time, I-I had no thoughts of the letter; I had grown too used to thinking of him as a brother, and for a moment I forced myself to believe it. I failed. You wanted me to go with Corbin, and I did-I knew it would please you all. I thought it might help all of us, and it was beginning to. I was beginning to love him-not in nearly the same way-but it was there. Nothing worked out." She took the old parchment from Georgie's hands. "It was the day of the battle. I had to keep it. I'm so sorry." She truly looked pained.

Georgie: "I-I-" she looked down. "I hope you two are very happy together." She disapparated and appeared in Corbin's arms, sobbing.

Alec: He decided to, for once, answer honestly. He said, "The truth isn't going to make much of a difference, honey."

Eris: "I know that, Uncle Alec, I do." she murmured. "Please, you've kept secrets from me for way too long."

Alec: "Do you like being in the Hufflepuff house? I have to know if that's where you belong."

Eris: "Can I tell you a secret? I haven't felt like much of a Hufflepuff since first year."

Alec: "But you have Hufflepuff in your blood."

Eris: "But you told me you were in Slytherin!" she exploded. "I'm sick of your keeping secrets from me!"

Alec: "I suppose it's time to tell you," he said. "It's inevitable that you'll find-"

Eris: "I knew it! You are hiding something."

Alec: "I hide everything. So I could protect-"

Eris: "This has nothing to do with protecting me. Now, tell me what the heck you have been keeping under wraps."

Alec: "I didn't want you to find out. Honey, I've known who your father was this whole time."

Eris: "Is he alive? Or dead?"

Alec: "I don't think you'll want to know the answer to that once I tell you."

Eris: "I promise I won't be mad. After all, I don't think my father could be that bad."

Alec: "You'd be surprised on what you'll know. All right, but I want you to promise me that you will never talk to him."

Eris: "Why?" she asked.

OOC: Should I wait to drop the bomb on Corbin or what? I really have no idea how to do this.

OOC: I have two choices on how to finally end Eris' story completely.
1) Eris has a discussion with Linus after she finds out who he is. She runs away afterwards and dies in a tragic "accident."
2) Eris finds the secrecy of her uncle too much, speaks to Linus about why he left, and writes Alec a letter of why she has to die. She then sends the letter to Alec and dies before Alec arrives.

OOC: I think you all know my opinion on these (I hate them both, they end in death).

Would one of them be suicide?

OOC: *looks guilty* Yes.

My plan from the beginning was to not give Eris a happy ending. She was originally intended to die. *guilt*

OOC: In retrospect, I feel like choice 2 is not a good idea from me at all. Choice 1, she could really die from anything, like for example a rouge death eater. Choice 2, her fate is kind of sealed into the stars.

However, I'd much rather choose between those particular two choices because Eris is supposed to symbolize how much secrets really do effect people. Then again, that's probably a more drastic route, though her death could honestly be ridden off as an accident if I went with choice 1.

OOC: Ah, I see.

I prefer the one that's not suicide, as I don't feel like being suddenly stricken ill like that. But you're okay :)

And on another note: I'm very stubborn. I know deaths (in some cases) make books better, but I still hate them and do occasionally throw the books down. But I've considered and nearly done it to my own characters, so I understand. I'll tolerate it, but I won't ever let it pass without this :(.

OOC: I was actually going to have Melanie fight for Linus because of that. She knew from experience with her own family that finding out about things like that are never easy, and she'd be better off knowing now rather than later.

OOC: I agree, with Choice One I can make that an accident. And that way I won't have to deal with Alec finding Eris.

OOC: Side note, I was reading into Part 4. I got to the aftermath when I killed off Chris.

OOC: Okay, I'll just wait on that for now.

Melanie: She felt guilty, so much so that she apparated to Evan's location and knocked on his door with slight force.

OOC: Eris' death probably won't happen until later. First she has to find out who Linus really is, then she has to question him. For some reason it's a process, leading up to the dramatic death.
