So I'm trying to decide if the extra cost for a park to park hopper is worth it so we can ride the hogwarts express or should I save my money?

We enjoyed it and rode it several times. We were there for one day, though, and very much wanted to see both sides of Harry Potter World.

I wouldn't go without park to park tickets. But it's hard to say that you would find it worth it.

As huge HP fans and wanting to experience it all and just the way Harry did, we definitely found it worth it.

The first time we went to USO we had single park tickets and we were enchanted with all that we could experience without Hogwarts Express so if money is the bottom line, I think it's okay to skip.

On our next trip we splurged for P2P and did get to experience it and it was neat but definitely not our favorite part of the Wizarding World. P2P is expensive to justify just for the sake of Hogwarts Express.

My kids are diehard Potterheads so for us it was a must do and definitely worth it. If you're not into HP then I think you can skip it.

No one can answer if it's worth it for you.....we all have different standards of what is expensive and worth it.

For us, we always have park to park with the UK ticket we get.........we use the HE now as a way to travel to either park if we're in that area and ready to park hop as we've ridden it so many times......

But, I do think it's worth getting........we're not massive Potter fans, but I would pay whatever the difference is to ride it......and you have to do it both ways.

For Potter fans it's a must do......

I think it's worth it. The ride is different going from Universal to Islands of Adventure and from Islands of Adventure to Universal. Plus, you get the whole Kings Cross station experience (and can see people "disappear" onto Platform 9-/34 - it's cool). If you are a Harry Potter fan you won't want to miss it. If you're not, then maybe it won't be worth it to you.

I agree with Schumi, nobody can say what something is worth from person to person. If I were going multiple days and only wanted to focus on one park a day, for me, it would not be worth it. However, I like to go back and forth, between the parks, multiple times a day, so I am going to have the P2P tickets anyway.

If you like Harry Potter it's a must. The train ride was amazing

HE for me, is part of the big picture and completes the potter theme from the movies and books

I do it for the experience
And enjoy it

Definitely a must for HP fans. I personally want the flexibility the park to park tickets offer. I'd hate to be locked into one side of the park only (I consider it one big park with savvy business people that decided to just charge to go to both halves ;)).

If you're there anyway, and you're spending money hand over fist anyway --- Yes it's worth it.

If you're an HP fan - it's a must.

It depends what you're looking at. Last year when I priced tickets for my family that only had one or two days for Universal I found that a one day P2P cost about the same as a 2 day single park. I recommended to them to buy the 2 day tickets since I didn't believe giving up a second day at the park was not worth the ability to ride HE.

An opinion from a non-HP fan.

I don't care for the HE. For some reason, it makes me feel claustrophobic. I'll ride it if we need a quick way to get to the other park, but I'd rather walk.

That said, for us, Park-to-Park tickets are always worth it. It gives us options - if one park is busy, just go to the other one. If you want to ride a few rides in each park, you can do so.

If you are big Harry Potter fans a definite yes, and be sure to ride it in both directions as the "scenery" is different. We loved the experience, we also loved the train stations, and if you don't buy the park to park you cant get in the station as they check tickets before entering.
